Comfort Inn & Suites

Amarillo as a city is not very nice. It’s about the only stop of significance along the I40. It is nothing more then endless hotels, restaurants, shops and gas stations. We have stayed in the Comfort Inn and Suites twice while making the drive to California. This hotel is a very good place to stay. Large rooms. Clean. Well run. Great breakfast choices. It was a pleasure to stay there. Not sure we would be back that way, but if so, we would definitely stay there. Good job property owner, manager and staff.
Americas Best Value Inn Amarillo Airport/Grand Street

The owner was very nice as well as the staff. We stayed there for a night with our dogs and cat and the owner went out of his way to accommodate our pets. I really did appreciate that as it is very hard to find rooms that will take in multiple pets. I would stay there again and highly recommend people to stay there. A very pleasant stay. Thank-you both to the owner and the staff. Debra C

The hotel is good, breakfast is average, are common ones: waffles, bread, cereals and so on. Good location, there is an equestrian museum next door.

I was at the 1Hotel July just days after the 4th. After reading reviews , my decision was it was a 50-50 chance of having either a great or terrible experience . It sounded interesting at the very least to see this historic hotel and the price was great. It did not disappoint . I looked for the dreaded bugs or any kind of shabbiness . Yes the room upstairs near a large cherub statue had carpet that smelled a little musty at first but it was a very large and comfortable room with ornate surroundings . The pool had water but I never saw anyone in it during my short overnight stay . The staff was very friendly and pleasant at all times. Negatives can only be found by whining about the fact that I thought it was on walkable streets as I had imagined . Yes the parking lot had a few questionable people in it at night . What public parking lot in a large city doesn’t ? The strangest thing to me was seeing the dining area tables and floors were cleaned by 9 am and I saw no traces of people or food or coffee . Final analysis - seems a little other worldly and is extremely nice despite price and some bad reviews .
