3-Star Hotels in Almaty

I arrived in the middle of the night, and was unable to pay for the room because both of my credit cards were rejected because I did not have a PIN. The staff were sympathetic, and gave me the room anyway. In the morning I had to call back to my US banks and both said that they do not issue PINs for cards with chips, so they could not help. So I had to go out in search of an ATM and withdrew the max permitted on two different debit cards. This was barely enough to cover the bill, but I was able to pay up after a certain amount of stress. The room itself was modern and comfortable. My only complaint was that the bathroom walls and tiles are matt black, and the lights were not bright enough around the mirror to make shaving easy. The breakfast and dinner in the restaurant on site were average. I would note that I never needed a PIN at any other establishment in Almaty, nor in other cities in the region as I traveled and used credit cards without issue.

What a disappointing hotel. The service was awful throughout. Whatever the question the answer was always NO! Check in time was 2:00pm. I arrived at noon and asked for an early check in. NO! The room was ready but unless I paid $50 they would not allow early check in. (A different clerk did eventually check me in early) The restaurant closed at 7:00pm for dinner and there was no nearby option. I got take out and just asked for silverware and an empty glass. NO, you may not take to room. Eventually I procured a single fork (still no glass allowed in room. “People steal them”). 30 min later, a knock on the door asking for the fork back! Bar was horribly stocked. Red wine? NO. White Wine? NO. Just beer Breakfast opened at 7am. I arrived at 6:50 and just asked if I could have a coffee while i waited. NO. They ran out of juice, asked for more….wait for it…NO. Power was off several times, once for 2+ hours. Windows don’t open so it became very stuffy. Room was not cleaned one day. I asked just for fresh towels. I had to bring my used ones down to the front desk, where they counted them to be replaced. I guess their guests steal towels too! On checkout I asked politely if I could speak to the manager. “No manager here”. That kinda sums up the whole stay. Many, many better options here and this should never be part of IHG with the terrible service

酒店看起來有點舊，房間裏的布草也是用了好久但好在乾淨。服務人員有幾個可以説英文，基本溝通沒啥問題。早餐不錯，種類豐富而且服務員更新的很快。都是麪包雞蛋類的俄羅斯類型早餐，想吃中餐的別想了。酒店周圍有很多不錯的餐廳，土耳其烤肉和格魯吉亞餐廳性價比都很高。國內普通三星標準吧，在阿拉木圖屬於性價比不錯的酒店

Были в номере люкс, это конечно не люкс, но в целом все было хорошо, уборка в номере и смена полотенец каждый день, предметы гигиены. Больше всего понравилось расположение, очень удобно было добираться в разные места и передвигаться пешком, просто вечером погулять возле Дворца республики. Завтрак входил в стоимость, был с 7 до 11,но по факту в 10 уже есть было особо нечего, поэтому если хотите позавтракать, надо вставать рано, чего в отпуске не хочется. Сауна, бассейн и тренажёрный зал на троечку, но мы и не ради этого ехали. Территории своей почти нет, но при этом всё таки можно посидеть вечерком на улице за столиком, ввиду отсутствия балконов. В целом можно рекомендовать как хорошую и доступную гостиницу.

I chose this hotel because of its great location, reviews of its helpful staff and its value for money. They succeeded on all levels. Rooms are basic, but everything is clean and works. The upgraded me to a Deluxe King on my second visit which was nice. The included breakfast buffet is fantastic, and the restaurant/bar is open all day with a good variety. Of local and western dishes. The shiny new metro is a one block walk. The Super Magnum Grocery store is 5 blocks. No mater what request I made of the front desk staff, they came through. I needed to find a taxi driver for a 6-hour one-way cross-border trip to Kyrgyzstan, and they came through. I was very impressed, and thankful.

An iconic hotel, grand and impressive. Beautiful ambience, great location, top class breakfast spread, high speed WiFi and helpful staff. Though, I arrived one day late to the hotel, the receptionist was kind to provide me room that with an upgrade. The view of snow clad mountains from my balcony was scintillating. I arrived late night, but I could get something to eat, thanks to the intervention of Lady Manager. I also got sumptuous packed breakfast as I left the hotel for a day trip quite early in the morning. The restaurant is pretty good,though a bit over crowded during breakfast. A must stay to enjoy the hospitality of this great country and people.

He arrived by the pair during the quarantine. For the day he called and agreed for 12 thousand per day. I explained that the hotel has been agreed on time and price. But at the respiratory began to insist on their adopted rules. I know it perfectly, I have been to different hotels in the world. But still it is necessary to synchronize work between staff. Every guest should explain 3 times to understand. Such attitude towards customers and irresponsibility is immediately taken into account. Also significant minus was on infrastructure. In the shower every day the water pressure was lost and even stopped. It was necessary to call for those support. The refrigerator and the container in the room are noisy, so you had to turn off to sleep. The elevator in the building is not at all. You had to drown on the third floor daily. Spa/sauna is not released during the time. Waited for their time for half an hour. Breakfast is average, after the second time there is already a desire to go there. During the quarantine there were very few guests, man 10 probably. And the service was very weak. Maximum reach 2 stars.

At least it's relatively clean. It must have been a big hotel before, but then it became lonely.

The hotel has only two pluses - this view from the window on pine and delicious coffee from the coffee maker (the capsule Lavazza). I had booked and paid three nights in this hotel, although I stayed there only two nights - an additional night was booked only for early accommodation, my plane arrived in Almaty very early and wanted to settle at once. Breakfasts in this hotel are delivered to the room as it is a mini hotel and they have no separate breakfast room. For breakfast, I have been offered for the choice of cache and toast or eggs and cut cucumber. Of the three paid breakfasts I was fed only one. On the day of the arrival I didn't bring it, although the order was accepted, on the second day did not accept the order (it turns out, breakfast had to be ordered the day before on the respiratory, which no one warned). My room was on the third floor and I asked to bring my suitcase to the room, the suitcase had to wait for forty minutes. This hotel has absolutely unprofessional staff, they have no experience in hotels and it is noticeable. Moreover, they absolutely care whether the guests will remain satisfied with their service. I asked for a return of the breakfast that the staff promised me on the resepshne - they said they would contact the service provider and make a return. But then the refusal came. That is, they said it just so to get rid of it. Another of the downsides: the hotel asks for a deposit at check-in, which is then returned on the day of departure in case of non-corruption of property in the room. No hotel in the world does that. Bed is comfortable with a hard mattress, but the pillows are inconvenient. Bedding of acceptable quality, bathroom plumbing is good. The hotel could be excellent given its location and size, but the service is badly damaging to the impression.

The first floor was under renovation and it took a lot of effort to get up there. The mosquitoes were very strong and bit me all night. The air conditioner was very noisy and I couldn't sleep. The staff had a very good service attitude.
