"Location good depends on what you are looking for. Tobe hill, local cuisine are within 50 meters
Generally carpet appeared quite new toilet is well kept. I was given a new towel
Breakfast was good taste sumptuous
Luggage storage free service
Staffs are courteous
It is worth the money if booked early. The only setback is room size. But if one has been to Hong Kong then there will be no complaints on room size when compared against the room rate.
I will stay again. Tq"
"All the beauties at the front desk are the best of their beauties, their heartbeats rise instantly and the service is very good, with a smile still in honorific words when you walk by. The bathroom in the room was clean and there was no water droplets. The restaurant in the hotel is also cheaper. In the city center, the waiters and management of the restaurant are also very friendly and thoughtful compared to the foreigners with cold hands on the street. The only disadvantage of being a budget boutique hotel is that the building has only five or six floors, with mountain views."
"I booked this hotel because it was close to the airport. Unexpectedly, we were stopped after we took a taxi late at night. The taxi with the taxi brand turned out to be a black taxi. When we arrived at the hotel, the driver offered us a price that was ten times the fare. It should have been about 1,500. The driver offered 15,000. We didn’t agree to pay 15,000. The driver had difficulty communicating with us, so we asked the hotel's front desk lady for help. The front desk lady was very nice and spoke good English. She helped us communicate with the driver, and we finally paid 6,000. Please note that you must come out to take a Yandex taxi at the airport. Don’t trust a car with a taxi brand. You can’t tell whether it is a real taxi.
The hotel is suitable for a one-night layover. It has all the facilities. Breakfast is provided for each person. It is also very convenient to take a taxi from Yandex."

"The room is quite big, but the corridors on both sides are very noisy, the bathroom is very musty, the bed cover is very soapy, the mattress is uncomfortable
The front desk lady is very good, help find the bus
The restaurant is large, the breakfast is not particularly large but complete, very delicious
This hotel is not far from the city but the traffic is not very convenient. Travel is not recommended to live here."
"Так себе. Еда в корейском ресторане норм. Остальное подушатано. Не понравились одеяла и наволочки. Непонятно как они стираются, выглядят как покрывала..."

KKirillVery small room actually.Looks definitely less then 25 m2
And the real size of the QUEEN BED IS LESS THEN 1.8m and it was 1.5.The bad was uncomfortable and the linen was not soft.
Every day we need to ask 1 more overall for bathroom cuz everyday we has only one in my room. And the same story with teeth brush. The room was booked for 2 by the way.
Staff is actually good and pleasant!
The main disadvantage is SMALL BED and small room-very tine for two people (we are about 170 cm tall).
The breakfast is nice.
Actually this hotel is overpriced for that kind of room provided
IIsfp-Solo TravelerOne of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far! I arrived at the hotel around 5 AM, and fortunately (thank you for the receptionist who attended me), they had a room available for early check-in (for half the price).
The view was absolutely amazing, and the room was well-equipped with a mini-fridge, TV, hair dryer, disposable slippers, bathrobe, towels, and complimentary coffee, tea, and water.
The breakfast? I highly recommend booking a room with breakfast included! It’s a buffet with an extensive selection—mains, soups, and desserts change daily. They also have pies, cheeses, breads, cereals, and so much more. I didn’t even recognize some of the dishes and didn’t get to try everything, but everything I did taste was absolutely delicious.
The location is also excellent, with bus stations and the subway just a short walk away. I was able to walk to several tourist spots like Panfilov Park, Green Bazaar, and many more. One of the best features of the hotel is the keycard system — you can only access your assigned floor and the first floor, where the reception is located (from there, you can easily walk to the breakfast and spa areas)
DDaniilMy stay at MuTu hotel was absolutely fantastic! The interior design is modern yet cozy with beautiful attention to detail. The living space features comfortable purple sofas and elegant sheer curtains that let in plenty of natural light. The dining area is stunning with a large dining table, stylish chairs, and thoughtful plant decorations that add a touch of nature indoors.
What really impressed me was the kitchen - it has gorgeous colorful mosaic tile backsplash that gives a vibrant personality to the space, contrasting beautifully with the two-tone cabinetry (dark and wood finish). Everything was immaculately clean and well-organized.
The staircase area with its contrasting dark and white railings shows the careful design elements throughout the property. The light pink/beige walls create a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout.
The owner is an incredibly kind Chinese gentleman who goes above and beyond to assist guests with anything they might need. His hospitality made the stay even more special.
If you're looking for a beautifully designed, comfortable place with excellent service, MuTu hotel is definitely worth booking!
GGuest UserIt is located centrally, enabling travellers to have easy assess to connecting public bus services, subways, walking distance to nearby eateries, restaurants, the famous Green Bazaar and the sceneic, spacious park that housed the famous Zenkov Cathedral!
All the staffs were amazing, from the frontline to the housekeeping and managers on duty. They communicated well, speak good English, and were extremely patient and helpful in answering my questions about the hotel facilities, going to certain places, etc.
Although the breakfast food selection is not much, it was still outstanding - the bread were fresh, the coffee selection is excellent, fresh cut fruits, and these were sufficient to fill my appetite during my stay for the breakfast!
I would definitely recommend travellers and visitors to Almaty to consider staying at the Grand Tien Shan hotel, its a ”GRAND” feeling you wouldn't want to miss! Enjoy!
GGuest UserRetro Soviet hotel in the city centre of Almaty. If you're a fan of anything Soviet then I highly recommend this hotel. The staff was helpful, kind and friendly. Breakfast was included and tasty.
GGuest UserThe room is very clean, very close to Saiyiran Station, there is a bus stop at the door, very convenient, the common space is large, the boss is also very good, the only drawback is that the bed is a little small, I am 190cm tall and a little small
NNorehanFrom my point of view, the Holiday Inn Express Almaty is truly exceptional. The accommodations are comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment for guests. The customer service is outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to meet guests' needs. The food offerings are diverse and delicious, catering to various tastes. The hotel's location provides breathtaking views of the surrounding area, adding to the overall experience. Additionally, Mr. Nurbek Dauitov, the front office manager, deserves special recognition for his exceptional assistance and dedication to ensuring guests have a memorable stay. His professionalism and helpfulness contribute significantly to the hotel's excellent reputation.
AAmara ChutnaiFirst room was smell bad of smoke even though my booking was non smoking room . They gave me other room was good after i complained. I think hotels used to give worst room who booked through trip.com . It happened in my previous trip in Bali.
MMohdBreakfast is luxurious, did not expect such amount for a budget hotel. However, for improvement, I advise to provide heating facilities for the food such as microwave oven.
The location is far from the city center but the superb bus services provide seamless connectivity to the city center. The location is also close to the airport, accessible by bus number 33 and 41.
The room service is also commendable, they did not forget to top-up my coffee, tea and sugar, and even replace my towels and clean the toilet. However, guests are to be reminded that they will enter your room to do those, even though you hanged the 'do not disturb' label on your door knob, which I think is not acceptable.
The receptionist is not particularly friendly, never smile, but he can understand and speak english well. However, be mindful if you have some disputes and try to discuss with him, he may not entertain you or pretend not to understand you, which I found very rude.
AAlvenAiThe hotel is located in the center of Almaty. There is a big shopping mall opposite the hotel, which is very convenient for eating. The hotel is a little old, but it is cost-effective for this price range. I met several Chinese people.
