What a disappointing hotel. The service was awful throughout. Whatever the question the answer was always NO! Check in time was 2:00pm. I arrived at noon and asked for an early check in. NO! The room was ready but unless I paid $50 they would not allow early check in. (A different clerk did eventually check me in early) The restaurant closed at 7:00pm for dinner and there was no nearby option. I got take out and just asked for silverware and an empty glass. NO, you may not take to room. Eventually I procured a single fork (still no glass allowed in room. “People steal them”). 30 min later, a knock on the door asking for the fork back! Bar was horribly stocked. Red wine? NO. White Wine? NO. Just beer Breakfast opened at 7am. I arrived at 6:50 and just asked if I could have a coffee while i waited. NO. They ran out of juice, asked for more….wait for it…NO. Power was off several times, once for 2+ hours. Windows don’t open so it became very stuffy. Room was not cleaned one day. I asked just for fresh towels. I had to bring my used ones down to the front desk, where they counted them to be replaced. I guess their guests steal towels too! On checkout I asked politely if I could speak to the manager. “No manager here”. That kinda sums up the whole stay. Many, many better options here and this should never be part of IHG with the terrible service

The location was good. Coffee shops and restaurants near by. Not far from main sites. Great view of the mountains from my hotel room. Loved the rooftop restaurant. Nice having breakfast there each morning sitting outside with the mountains in the background. Hotel staff was friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. Breakfast is included but could have more variety. Breakfast was pretty much the same each day and felt the food was cold. But there are pastries and cakes and croissants or other breakfast items to choose form. Would definitely recommend Reikartz Sky Hotel. Keep in mind that the check-in front desk is on the 17th floor of the hotel which is confusing when arriving.

An iconic hotel, grand and impressive. Beautiful ambience, great location, top class breakfast spread, high speed WiFi and helpful staff. Though, I arrived one day late to the hotel, the receptionist was kind to provide me room that with an upgrade. The view of snow clad mountains from my balcony was scintillating. I arrived late night, but I could get something to eat, thanks to the intervention of Lady Manager. I also got sumptuous packed breakfast as I left the hotel for a day trip quite early in the morning. The restaurant is pretty good,though a bit over crowded during breakfast. A must stay to enjoy the hospitality of this great country and people.

It is an old property with Soviet Union Style. Room layout is a bit weird to me, we booked a queen-sized bed room for 2 adults and they gave us something like a room with connect room of 1 single bed. Bathroom is small and old, dont expect much. The only good things is the breakfast spread with wide variety of dishes both local and international. Great selection for cheese & cold cut.
Staff are friendly & helpful but I have an impression that they are understaff as both check-in & check-out need to wait for quite a while. Staff can speak English but not fluent.

In general, the hotel itself is not bad enough, rooms with fresh repair and equipment in them are normal (all there are).
All the rest of course quiet horror: When the settlement was not there was a card to open the room! A shame! We were asked if you could open the door to the room and leave you until the tra without the key, you would not go anywhere? :) PERSONAL UPER!!!
Next, there was ONLY a towel, ONLY a slipper, etc. , how is it possible when the management sees that the booking is paid for two???
Staff constantly rolling on the elevator, waiting for the elevator in the hotel simply not possible (walking!)
In general, attitude to the customer NIKAKOE!
In the final and most important and terrible - it is certainly the STRADE in the hotel, stole the BOSE headphones directly from the bag with all the crossovers, noticed it already in the plane when decided to watch the film, but the headphones in the bag were not!
Breakfast as well as the food in the hotel - Full of a nut!
As a result, they simply regretted that they settled and chose Grand Mildom, no recommendation for future visitors!

So, I booked 4 nights on two separate bookings for different rooms having extended my stay in Almaty. As such, the photos provided represent a ground-floor double room and a upstairs family room with a mezzanine. Most importantly, for the price paid, which was very reasonable indeed, I consider the hotel to be of superb value. As such I shall order my opinions according to their importance. Firstly. The staff were very friendly and professional throughout the stay including the security. Secondly, I approve of the interior of the hotel - the overall design of the rooms being very comfortable indeed, and unusually spacious. The breakfast from 7-10 was cosy and supplied all the necessaries, though I would recommend fried eggs for the future. In addition to the above, the double room had satellite TV with access to the internet - i.e. YouTube etc. The swimming pool, though I didn't use it looks fantastic, and the restaurant food is well-priced and delicious (I recommend the lentil soup, with Chicken-Spinach and a side of rice). Though there was construction work happening which could have been a little more tidy given that some guests have to navigate through it, I would still rate this hotel a 5/5 for the value of the booking. 👍

I had an 11 hour layover between my flight from Dubai to my flight to Atyrau and was really searching for a hotel near the airport that was convenient and reasonably priced. Grand Hotel Erbil is both of those. I made the booking online with the option to pay on arrival. The booking made provision for a free shuttle pickup from the airport and a very reasonable transfer back the following morning. The hotel confirmed everything by Whatsapp. Contactless payment. Clean room. Clean linen. Friendly and efficient service. I ordered a simple burger and chips via WhatsApp and the food arrived hot and fresh. Minibar is fully stocked and reasonably priced. Their menu is extensive (55 page book) and they cater for everything from a bowl of hummus to platters of meats, cakes, cocktails, etc. For a traveller, this hotel is well worth it. GGuest UserOur July 3-12, 2023, family stay at the Novotel Almaty City Center Hotel for our son and daughter-in-law’s Qyz Uzatu bride’s wedding was memorable and outstanding. The staff was accommodating beyond expectations. Examples of services and assistance furnished include: 1) gorgeous congratulatory bouquet of roses, cake, and bottle of champagne for bride and groom upon their arrival, 2) Front Desk Receptionist Elmira ordered, negotiated, and “babysat” multiple wedding flower bouquets the day of the bride’s wedding event, 3) Deputy General Manager Yevgeniy personally helped finalize five 10-day room reservations, following up multiple times ensuring our full satisfaction, then emailing us a farewell and thank you note for our stay, 4) Front Desk Manager Altyn happily assisted with various requests, 5) entire staff was cooperative, positive, and professional, and 6) hotel restaurant’s breakfast buffets were delicious, and lunches were quite satisfying, too. Additionally, the hotel location was fantastic b/c: it’s adjacent to the large public plaza with memorial and fountains, as well as the tram to the nearby mountaintop which had restaurants, zoo, amusement park, etc.; walkable city center with nearby restaurants, shopping, green spaces, and more. Based on our family’s experience, we zealously endorse and recommend the Novotel Almaty City Center Hotel and will fondly remember our stay and the hotel’s kind, thoughtful, and service-oriented staff for taking care of our family.

GGuest UserI had to fly to Almaty on family business. Hotel itself is trendy, historical building. Inside is really nice, clean. Front desk folks are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Rooms looks exactly as on photos. Each room has electric cattle, 2 bottles of water for each occupant. They refill tea, coffee, water every day. If you ask, they can bring you thus any time. I have to say their 24 hours room service is great. I bought room with breakfast. Highly recommend. Menu/ buffet is good. You can order omelets or oatmeal. One thing, though. Menu does not change at all. So, if you stayed few days, you will be fine. I stayed 10 days. It kind got boring after 4 days. Never the less, breakfast is good. Housekeeping is great! They really clean your room, disinfect. They change sheets every other day, towels every day. A lot of toilettes: shampoo, conditioner, body wash gel, body and hands creams, shower cap, even hair comb. You can pre order transfer from and to airport. They met me with the sign. It was great. Really great hotel. I will highly recommend to stay there.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. For me it is the best solution with a fair relationship of price and service in Almaty. I had a service issue and the issue has been solved for my full satisfaction by the manager within a few hours. Extremely customer oriented hotel and management. Anytime to be recommended

It's a new hotel but some fixtures already show wear and tear, for example the toilet paper holder is coming away from the wall. I like the filtered water stations for endless refills of your provided carafe. Great location, shops and restaurants all around. Good gym and large modern sauna. Helpful staff provide good service and speak English. ”Line Brew” attached restaurant has delicious food at very reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet is a standard selection. Great value and recommended.

MMax SherI booked this hotel based on the photos they provided, but apparently their photos didn’t match the reality. The front desk stuff told me that the photos they took are from hotel in Turkey, and that the room it self are different, and yes they were completely different.
The rooms are very small, very very small really. It seems the hotel is quite new. The breakfast is not bad, and have good view on the mountains.
Will I stay again? Answer no

GGuest UserStayed there for a night during my KZ trip, the hotel is located at a very comfortable location , the hotel rooms looks like more of heritage room with a few old decor plates and felt really warm, they provided with all the necessity services, and a secured cloak room was also there, I kept my luggage after checkout for almost a day and they were really helpful to store them at their place without any hassle and provided back the same in couple of minutes, They staff here speaks fluent English as well and take extra efforts to help their guest. Would definitely recommend to stay and get to know the services of the same.

She helped in resolving a payment issue. -Great location, next to Expo, some local cafes. -Breakfast was nice with many options including customized omlette. Would love to stay here in my next trip.

GGuest UserRather simple and quite clean structure, located not far from the center of Almaty. My room was quite spacious and clean, equipped with a balcony, bathroom with shower, courtesy set, in particular I found the bed very comfortable. Overall it is a good structure, in my opinion not yet accustomed to welcoming tourists from all over the world. Breakfast and language barriers (only one receptionist out of four I've had to deal with spoke English) to be improved. For the rest, I would recommend it.
