The Level at Melia Alicante

Stayed as a couple for 5 nights having booked' The Level' accommodation Our room was actually on the 5th floor and the Level is on the first floor. It seems strange where it's situated at the end of a fairly dark corridor of rooms, it feels like it's in the wrong place for something so nice. The Level itself is immaculately clean with friendly staff and access not only to breakfast but drinks throughout the day and tapas at lunchtime and the evening. The sunbeds however are way too crammed in , you are uncomfortably close to other people with very little space to move around or feel any sense of personal space. I think the main pool area is actually the better space, it feels as though they should be switched round . The pool is small and personally I never saw it being cleaned but am sure it is. Public spaces were immaculate and to a high standard The room itself was immaculate with a fantastic bed , pillows and bathroom. Storage was limited but we managed. The hotel is ideally placed right next to very clean beach and close to the many restaurants , bars and shops. I think the Level is a great idea and the inside space is great but not the outside space due to it being so tight. It's this aspect that would make me think twice about booking it again. Would definitely return to the hotel but not sure I would pay the extra for the Level.

The Level is a fabulous experience. The Hotel is great but the adults only Level concept is amazing. The service is brilliant and makes you feel very special. Nothing is too much trouble for the Team. We loved it and have another holiday with them in September.

The level was fabulous. Completely separate to main hotel. Drinks , tea coffee available all day in the lounge and ‘nibbles’ most times. Renovated rooms were lovely. We faced the marina for afternoon sun and were delighted with our choice. Our room however was at the very far end of the renovated wing so was quite a trek from main reception and hotel entrance. As to be nearer centre of hotel. Didn’t eat in evening at hotel so can’t comment . Breakfast was lovely. Water was provided in room and re stocked which is always great. Would certainly return when in Alicante. Renovations ongoing but no disturbance to us at all. Stroll to restaurants . C6 ? Bus to airport drops at Plaza del mar 2 mins from hotel. 10 journey bus ticket bought on bus is €8 (including €2 for the re load able ticket). Can be used for more than one person just tap twice. So as it’s €3.85 one journey from airport if 2 people travelling on the ticket can be good value .
