Very beautiful hotel. The manager hadn't seen me for three years and was so happy to see me that he felt like seeing a relative.

We stayed in an amazing apartment with a garden terrace. We had the sofa made up for another bed and this was extremely comfy. Staff went above and beyond throughout our stay, great quality linen /towel and facilities. Apartment stylishly furnished with excellent facilities. Definitely be staying again, great value and location from train station /airport 24hr bus. Thank you.

I never do reviews but this experience was so good I have to, especially given there are several negative reviews. First, super location if you do not have car. Centrally located. Great restaurants near by. Less than 15 minute walk to the beach. But most important 8 minutes to the Central Market which is one of the best I have encountered…3 large sections each specializing in something: seafood, meats, and fruits and vegetables. Because our room had a well equipped kitchen we could shop the market and do amazing meals “at home” which would not be affordable at a restaurant. Amazing. But equally important the staff were amazing too. We booked a taxi via Irene/Maribel and they actually came out to see us off and make sure the taxi showed. Wow. 10 stars out of 5😇

My wife and I stayed here one night interestingly/accidently on Hogueras de Alicante (Bonfire festival). The festival was a cool and interesting bonus, but the suites were a mixed bag. Off the top, we were very unhappy with how we were treated, but unlike the management, I will try to be fair with this review. First off, the place is an old ~4 story building on the edge of a pedestrian zone. You will be greeted with a grand door, and a beautiful marble interior and marble stair case. Walking in was amazing, giving the impression you had picked a truly amazing place. Amazing details in the shared areas. Art, glass floor, atrium, etc. There was a super helpful young woman working there who helped us find the place, did the check in, and when we mentioned that we had a late flight out, said we could park longer (no late checkout allowed however and strangely paid luggage storage). She was really nice, but also disempowered and I recall was a student who probably will be moving on, so unlikely you will see her in the distant future. The room was an interesting experience. The suite was very large, high ceilings, spacious. You enter a (relatively speaking) small foyer area, which immediately opens into a kitchen/living room. Probably 15ft x 25ft. At the end of the room is a window which opens to the street. To the left, continuing in this massive suite is the bed room. Two windows, 15x15, and the bathroom to the left, also massive with the remaining 15x10ft (all approx.). It had a cool feeling of age, made me wonder if this had been a private residence, or perhaps an office building years ago. As grand as the scale was, the décor was a little bit of a let-down. The kitchenette was black, minimalistic and sparse. The seating area furniture had that “modern curvy feel”, that looked cool initially, but after a while, a little uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong, it would be hard to decorate such a space and it was ok. Just felt like a lost opportunity for something more in line with the building. Also, it was not like the photos I saw online. The other rooms in the suite were similarly sparse and minimalistic. The bed was decent. I do not recall being amazed by the bed or bedding, but nor do I recall any issues. The bathroom was similarly large and had a lot of dead space, with one wall being turned into a set of glass enclosures for toilet and shower. Strange that there was glass between the shower and toilet. Definitely not set up for two person use 😊. Another tiny issue was that the windows did open onto the building across the narrow street, meaning to let light it also meant lost privacy. They could have set it up better. So far, the experience was generally positive, but it was the service which really let us down. There were two events, I’ll let you judge for yourselves: 1) Prior to our arrival, we started getting phone calls. They were concerned about whether we were aware that it the bonfire festival was on, and the streets would be clos

Excellent location with great staff. The rooms are top notch and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and plenty of space to move around. I really liked having a full sized kitchen to be able to cook and shop for local produce around me.

Would give more than 5 if possible! Totally wonderful one night stay for myself and my wife celebrating her birthday at the end of a fortnight’s holiday with other family members up the coast. From the initial e-mail exchanges for our booking to leaving from the foyer/office of the Santa Barbara apartments just round the corner was a very pleasurable experience. A delightful greeting by Estefania and her colleague (apologies for not recalling her name!) when we checked in to the hotel soon turned to amazement when we were shown our room, the Alfonso XIII Suite, with added surprise in my case! What a magnificent suite in a remarkable building. No negative about our overnight stay at all, and we were able to leave our luggage until our taxi, ordered by a staff member, arrived on schedule later that afternoon. Can highly recommend this aparthotel. One final mention has to go to Jesus. The “hombre número uno” here. As he kept reminding me! My apologies for being a day late with this review Jesus. Been too busy telling people about our stay with yourselves! 😄
