Albufeira Beach Hotel by Kavia

Our stay was great however a few things to note: Advertising is a little misleading - The balconies do not face the sea but the buildings opposite - not bad but not what was expected - fairly private as you are high up and not really overlooked (from the 3rd floor anyway) There is no Bar - despite advertising as having one and even the mirror on the second floor landing pointing to a bar ! If you want tea & coffee facilities - what they mean is they will provide a kettle (FOC) - luckily we took our own tea and coffee and MUGS as they only provide paper cups - we "borrowed" a spoon from the breakfast room. If you intend to drink (water or alcohol) in your room take glasses - we bought some when there. Second Keycard - you need to leave a 10 euro deposit (no issues on returning when checking out) FOR THE LADIES - the hairdryer is rubbish (although to be fair your hair dries really quick out there anyway) but they have no guts and either blazing hot or cold. Only six hangers provided - we asked for more (3 times) but they never arrived - luckily we took eight folding ones so managed with those. We arrived at 11.00 a.m. - despite being told our room was ready we could either pay £30 euros or come back at 3.00 p.m. for check in - we opted to leave our bags there and come back at 3.00 p.m. ( no charge for this) - wear appropriate clothing if you are walking around till check in if its hot :) Check out at 11.00 - if you have a late flight they will look after your bags for 15 euro. Staff were generally pleasant - some more chatty than others. Cleaning staff were amazing and lovely to speak with - best to leave either clean or don't clean room signs outside as the cleaners work until six o'clock. You are literally right on the ***** - noise dies down around 4.00 a.m. - the double glazing is excellent at blocking out the majority of the noise - excellent location and central to everything. Heads up: the Tiger Street (think that was the name) sushi cafe next door does amazing food and you can get takeaway to eat on the balcony - they will provide you with forks as long as you return.

The noise levels were intolerable. The hotel was clean. I disliked the managers attitude. She was very abrupt and most unhelpful and unwelcoming. The room was clean. The terrace was good but I found a used cigarette on the ground. A kettle was available when enquiring but no cup/beaker. That had to be bought in a shop.

This hotel in Albufeira is amazing. Madame Anna and Madame Sylvia helped arranged a romantic birthday set up with flowers wine cake in the room for my special compagnon. We were so happy thanks to them that made our stay in Albufeira Beach Hôtel really memorable & wonderful ! ;))
