Find the Cheap Albufeira Hotels

We booked this trip as an alternative to a city break in the UK, we were missing Portugal after the last couple of years absence. The cost via Thomas Cook was cheaper with flights and 3 nights here than 3 nights in UK, so we booked. We upgraded to a superior seaview room, it was well worth it, we were blown away with the view, the size of the room and the overall serene vibe to the hotel. We were in the Inatel Praia which is located a short walk from the main Inatel building which is where the pool area is. We did wander across there and the rooms we could see with balconies looked appealing too. You can tell by the photos which building, as the Priai building is all done in pale blue/turquiose decoration and furnishings. The room had 2 single beds pushed together. The bathroom area was like one large galss cube with a band of frosted glass for some privacy. It gave a very modern feel. There was a safe and a small fridge with a flat screen tv on the wall. The large sliding doors out onto the balcony and the sea view was what made this room special, it was so nice to sit and watch everyone walking and playing on the beach and listening to the waves in the evening. Breakfast was in a clean, bright room with doors open onto a terrace so you could take your food out there. It was an adequate breakfast,. Each day there was a variety of bread rolls, croissants, pain au chocolat, cakes, (you had to be really early to get the pastel de nata). There was sliced cheese, a whole camembert to spoon out the centre, brie, tomatoes, soft cheese and pate. Fresh fruit which was lovely and fresh, we had melon, pineapple and huge grapes, strawberries. There were yoghurts, cereals and mixed nits, dried fruti etc. If you like a hot breakfast this possibly would dissapoint you as there was fried eggs, thick slices of buffalo tomato, beans, scrambled egg , bacon and hot dog style mini sausage. My husband did try these but they were not very warm and not very tasty. I enjoyed my breakfast each day and to be honest it made a nice change being forced to choose something other than traditional hot breakfast. There was also 2 varieties of bread for toast and jam, fresh fruit juices, tea and coffee, with yoghurt drinks too. We got the feeling there were not a lot of English speaking staff there, but everyone we encountered were very friendly, smiley and polite. We prefer not to have our room cleaned everyday and left the do not disturb sign out, we got a letter by the door saying they had not done the room as our sign was out but to request any items we were short of and they would bring them to us, nice touch we thought. The location is great, we are a coulple in our 50's and value some level of peace and quiet and like to seek out the hustle and bustle rather than be among it, a very short walk from the escalators and you were there, very convenient. We ventured here for a last-minute holiday and overall the experience was good. Would we go back again..... Location 5 - Was great being near the beach, within walking distance to the Marina and far enough out of the centre to avoid the late nights/chaos which does with that, when on a family holiday Rooms 3.5 - Good size and always kept very clean, however, our experience here was not great, we were originally placed in 206 (over the pool bar) which wasn't the best with young children, however, the hotel did move us to another much better room! We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite in which the lounge/living room should have been made up to increase the number of beds......we asked 4 times for this to happen and in the end gave up, and made the beds up ourselves. Cleanliness 4 - Overall throughout the hotel was good, however, the pool area toilets need to be cleaned more regularly as more often than not the toilets were in a pretty disgusting mess! Amenities 4 - All pools were excellent and never felt busy, even in peak season. It was also easy to get a sunlounger, although I would suggest about 50% are broken and need replacing. Atmosphere 5 - It felt quiet even in the peak season, which for us was perfect, however there could have been more things to do during the day/evening Value 3 - Based on the food and drink alone; the food was very much rinse and repeat every day with a slight change in the fish/meat available. Didn't feel like 5-star food. Drinks were ok, and always readily available however the cocktail selection was limited at times due to missing ingredients.... mint for example Service 4 - Some excellent customer service at times, and sometimes some indifferent service. Overall it was good and the team did everything they could when dealing with our request to move rooms.

Great room great breakfast great stay. We had a lovely stay for our 10 year anniversary at the hotel. The hotel had left us a bottle and a card for our special occasion which was a nice touch. The room was very large and room and hotel throughout were beautifully decorated. The jacuzzi was not working and the squash court was leaking (not that we intended to play squash) just an observation. We loved the breakfast and felt there was plenty of choice just needed another coffee machine as the queue does get very long. We can’t comment on lunch or dinner as we spent all of our days out exploring and finding the back streets of Albufeira for some amazing seafood and traditional Portuguese cuisine. We were only there for a long weekend. The staff were all nice and the only criticism’s of the hotel would be the charge for using the safe in the room. Anything to make an extra buck… I have not had to pay to use a room safe ever before so that was a new one on me! Also the shuttle bus that was broken was out for 2 days and they didn’t think to put on another option so we had to use Uber instead, which were cheaper than the taxis that the front desk would call.

had a nice break here , very good location and nice sea view on fourth floor, clean and nice staff, close to old town , pool lovely, the hotel was a little too quiet for my 12 year old son however as no day entertainment at all , no restaurant at evening either but we like eating out anyway, breakfast was good and staff are all helpful.

The hotel is good value for money with multiple food options. The food is good. The pool area is clean as is the rest of the hotel. In a good location to access the new town ***** as well as other places to eat. The old town is a 10 miniature drive away and taxis are reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This 5-star hôtel is quite new so they are still putting the finishing touches on the private garden going down to the beaches. The service and the food, the swimming pools and amenities are already on par with other 5-star I've been to. A lot of the food is local (avocados, salads, fruits, fish) and is soooo good. The views are stunning from the rooms, the swimming pools, the Sea Sky outside lounge and the Paper Moon restaurant... Overall what I like the most is the feel of being surrounded by nature with the hotel's garden, greenery everywhere and the relatively small height of the buildings... Thank you to the staff for this memorable week in December, sun everyday and temperature around 20° during the day...

Very satisfied about the all-in in the restaurant, our room, the service in reception and restaurant, very good animation during the day and in the evening. Especially we enjoyed the Opera Singers Dayana and Yadiel and Edgar, Ray and Dayana for the stretching in the morning and the animation at the swimming pool. All very kind people, staff and managers.
