We were looking for a hotel within easy walking distance to the old city. And with a good breakfast. Innside was modern and comfortable. The rooftop breakfast was good with a great view. Note that the restaurant and rooftop bar are closed Sunday and Monday. We were given a choice of room on the quiet side, or city view. Our fourth floor city view room was great, but a lower floor would not be much of a view. Front desk staff was quick, friendly snd helpful with directions, suggestions and reservations. The city has great charm, history and the Christmas market was wonderful.

I have stayed in this hotel quite a number of times and consistently the quality of my stay has been high. This time was no exception. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom were spotless and had everything I needed. The WiFi was complimentary and worked really well. The signal was strong and stable. There was one thing that I'd like to see changed though. You need to register every day, but the login process is confusing. After you've agreed to the terms and conditions and clicked on the button to get the free WiFi, another window pops up and it wants to know things from you. This is however not needed to sign up for the WiFi and seems to be purely for marketing purposes. By clicking on the right link, you can skip it. The room was not all that large, but the space was definitely adequate. There was more than enough space for my clothes and other things. The water boiler plus complimentary tea and coffee was convenient, just as the very large safety deposit box that easily fit my 15” laptop, plus other belongings. The work desk was small and especially with a regular chair, not suitable to work at for a longer period of time. The TV was small and had a limited set of channels, but that was not so relevant for me. A detail, but really useful, is that there are sufficient power outlets and at the right place. This makes it very easy to charge your devices. The bathroom was on the small side, but fully functional and the water pressure from the showerhead was more than sufficient. Only minor thing that I've noticed in the past too, is that it requires some engineering creativity to keep the showerhead in the right position. This should definitely be improved. It is annoying and unnecessary. Last, but not at all least, was the breakfast buffet. I really enjoyed it. This is mostly a continental style buffet, but with an amazing amount of choices, including various types of fresh and very tasty breads, yoghurts, fruits, cheeses, juices, cereal, etc. This is a great example to other hotels how to serve a healthy, yet delicious breakfast.

Nice hotel at a good central location. Our room was spacious although quite warm (no airco). Shower facilities were ok, but the toilet space was extremely cramped. The bedding was not 100% clean. The service at the reception was very friendly. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice, omelettes or fried eggs on order, with super service by Abdallah. No parking, you have to put your care in one of the (very busy) parking garages nearby.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days while helping our son move to Aachen from a different part of Germany. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient as it is only a 5 minute walk from the train station, and about 15 minute walk to both our son's new apartment in the Frankenberger neighborhood and also to the old town. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Panayoti who spoke very good English and explained all the charges on our hotel bill clearly. The breakfast offered a variety of healthy choices and fresh baked goods and was reasonably priced. The hotel felt very safe both in terms of Covid precautions and security at night time when returning late. The only thing I felt was not quite up to my expectations were the flat pillows and firm beds. I prefer fluffier pillows and a softer bed, but it was comfortable enough for the length of our stay. When I return to Aachen, I will not hesitate to book a stay at this hotel again.

I loved the location. Not a bad walk from the train station and heheh you are just at the edge of the good stuff- an old German restaurant next door, the Cathedral a block or 2 around the corner.
The bar wasn’t as appealing as some as the other Motel Ones I’ve been too- a little more business feeling. But I’ve come to love the color and decor scheme of this chain. Always super quiet and serene.

I had a budget DZ (108) to the street in the EC. It was extremely noisy at open window and at airing evaporation gases and melting from passing smokers come into. Because the room was in the EC, everyone can also look in. In closed windows is almost rest. The best to take a room to the rear courtyard if possible. My familiar had in the EC room 107 (also budget-DZ). She had a balcony door to the rear courtyard. Good for smokers :-) The room was clean and the size was OK. Breakfast: 4 varieties of sauce, 2 varieties of cheese, bread and bread, marmelade and nutella. There are also ingredients for a mini musli: oats, corn flakes nature and chocolate. ---- hard cooked eggs and yoghurt. To do this, a really delicious coffee machine with various coffees to choose. Other drinks are also available: orange juice, apple juice, milk and tea. All in all a good breakfast for a cheap hotel. In 10-15 minutes you are walking at the Dom/Rayhouse. The reception is only occupied from 14.00. It is not possible to check in before.

Nice hotel! Friendly staff working hard. The room was good, (home animal room, our dog was with). Delightful snack was ready for the dog in the room. The TV in the room was a little overcast for us. No possibility of connecting or streaming a chromecast to the TV. Nice terrace at the room. Nice garden to walk nicely. Breakfast was great for us. The hotel has a very small number of guests who are not able to take care of their staff during events (marriage, birthday and condolences at the same time). The great advantage for us was that you get an email every evening and can indicate whether you want to clean towels next day or that they have to do your whole room.

Though we weren't expecting our rooms to be in the Kasteel itself, the accommodation in the modern blocks was corporate and dingy and though described as ”deluxe with a balcony” had no views of the ancient pile or anything of particular interest. To be honest, I have stayed in more interesting Travel Lodges in the UK and paid half the price. The whole place oozed mediocrity, from the check-in clerk who volunteered no recommendations on how to experience the Kasteel which was, in effect, sealed off to tourists, to our bathroom which had no natural light or air and a shower situated in the bath. All very disappointing. Dinner in the Old Water Mill was marred by a delay of 25 minutes before we saw a menu and extremely long gaps between courses which we put down to a shortage of kitchen staff or maybe a lack of english menus; both seemed plausible. The food itself was high quality/mid-range though definitely not gourmet or fine-dining. Oddly, Limburg wines were not included on the wine list but a very limited number of bottles from the best promoted vineyard in the region were available by the glass on request. The entremet was literally inedible though I appreciated the free glass of dessert wine I was given in compensation. Service had its faults such as asking us what we wanted to drink before we had been given any kind of drinks/wine list but was generally characterised by a sincere effort to provide attentive service. We opted not to have the breakfast buffet at 23 euros a throw and though the check-out clerk verbally acknowledged we hadn't partaken, somehow he included a line item on the bill ”breakfast excluded” which added 46 euros to the bill (yes, added) which we only discovered as we prepared to drive off. Utter stupidity and a symbolically apt end to our misadventure at Kasteel Vaalsbroek.

Excellent! We arrived a little early but it was no bother and we were checked in swiftly by a very kind and professional receptionist; she was very helpful too with a great sense of humour. The rooms are very nice, big and clean and the bathroom is big, with a choice of shower heads and a separate bath. The breakfast buffet offers A LOT of options and I was impressed, it would have been perfect if they’d have served vegetarian sausages but that’s me being incredibly picky. Check out was swift plus you can also check out online or leave your keys in a drop box. There is ample parking and the location is very good as you are just off the motorway between Belgium and Germany. We booked directly with them so they offered us a little treat which was super nice. I thoroughly recommend this hotel; the parking, rooms and staff are very, very good!

A stay in Castle TerWorm is really an experience. From the moment you get the field, you feel the special atmosphere. The castle has a beautiful garden, making you immediately enter a delicious “relax mode”. The service is top. The staff is friendly and professional, they make you feel welcome. Eating in the restaurant was a whole culinary experience, the dishes were creative and each plate was a picture. The wine choice was excellent, including expert advice from the sommelier. TerWorm offers a unique experience where luxury, comfort and gastronomy meet. It is the ideal place for those looking for a special outfit. Absolute advisor!!

Very Good
VVasilis393Visited Art Hotel Aachen Superior due to a work meeting hold in Aachen in mid July! The location is very quiet and not far from the centre ! We had a big almost an apartment size & style room with a huge balcony all around the room! The service is more than ok with a good functionality at the front desk! They have a pool indoors but during our stay didn’t see really anyone making use of it! I reckon , probably because is not very inviting! Normal good breakfast and polite staff! If there is another time needed to visit Aachen again I would stay at the same Hotel!!!
RRaG673The hotel is located on foot to all the attractions in Aachen, on the edge of the old town. Very nice operator couple, always helpful. There is a good breakfast that does not leave any wishes open. 2016 was a nuclear renovation, the price - performance ratio is very good. Stark recommendation !
GGuest UserAbsolutely fantastic staff. Could not do enough for their customers. Checking them in, serving beers, serving food. Only 2 staff members on a busy F1 weekend. Very hard working, a credit to the brand. Thank you ladies
CCzyouzhoukeThe room was very clean and tidy. Although the European hotel was a bit small, the room was fully functional and clean. Because it was late at night, the hotel staff was off work at night. The hotel sent an email in advance to explain how to get the key and how to enter the room in detail. I checked in smoothly at 11:30 in the evening. The breakfast is also very good, there are many things to eat and taste good. The hotel is near the train station, it is very convenient to travel, and will choose to stay in the future.
GGuest UserOur 1 night stay was good but the girl in reception is kinda rude, if we ask for a favor or question she will make face and looks tired while doing the favor or answering us. Also, the breakfast is good but small choices. But the rest are ally good and other staff.
TThorstenS7Very friendly guests. The rooms are convenient, very different in size and comfort. Firstly in a nice double room with quite small bathroom and later in a small single room with large bathroom. Unfortunately, the shower was missing on the bathtub, but on the wall was a unconflicted stick. However, for a weekend, it was quite enough. And the friendliness of the staff there made a lot of bet again.
周周About 7 minutes walk from the train station, the surrounding is relatively quiet, about 15 minutes walk to the Aachen Cathedral. The rooms are clean, the triple rooms are large, the prices are very cheap, and the price is very high. Check out the box as long as you put the key into the door. The elevator is relatively small, probably only the same three people.
GGuest UserWe stayed here as part of a coach trip. It is a cosy little family owned place, the room sizes & types varied, but ours was a decent sized twin, no complaints there. Breakfast was the usual continental offering, with several cold meats, cheeses, 3 types of bread, preserves, cereals, tea & coffee. Dinner was a set 3 course menu, all well prepared & very tasty.
