A no-frills, nicely decorated, well located, clean hotel. Nothing bad to say (except that a more thorough take at cleaning the upper shelf of the wardrobe would be welcome). But everything else was really optimal. I did not need to interact with the staff at reception during my stay, so I can not report on that. The girl who checked me in was efficient and polite, and that was all the contact I had with the reception. I spent interesting evenings at the bar tasting several gins of their rich gin menu, and the two waiters I interacted with were very helpful and professional. I had a ”room with a view”, not the lowest price-range, and it was perfect for one person, although it was a double. The bed was indeed double, but the closet would have been on the small side for two people staying more than a couple of nights. If I have to point something out is the lack of a light curtain in addition of the thick, darkening curtain that the room had. If you did not want to be seen by neighbourghs in the building in front, the only option was to close the curtain, which was very effective in darkening completely the room. This at midday seemed a bit too radical. But the summary of my experience is that I will come back to this hotel if ever again in Aachen.
I was there during the pandemic so the hotel was not full. Well located, very clean, friendly people. Nice parking place. The wifi is very good. I liked that they asked me if i am vaccinated against COVID or i have a negative covid test and i felt very safe because i know they did the same with all guests. Because the pandemic was no breakfast but there is a gas station near the hotel and you can buy from there coffee or some skacks.
Visited Art Hotel Aachen Superior due to a work meeting hold in Aachen in mid July! The location is very quiet and not far from the centre ! We had a big almost an apartment size & style room with a huge balcony all around the room! The service is more than ok with a good functionality at the front desk! They have a pool indoors but during our stay didn’t see really anyone making use of it! I reckon , probably because is not very inviting! Normal good breakfast and polite staff! If there is another time needed to visit Aachen again I would stay at the same Hotel!!!

The hotel is located on a very driven street. Unfortunately, the room had no air conditioning. Therefore, it is quite noisy at open windows. The room was also in the hotel access. From 6:00 a.m. the delivery traffic has also crashed. The room was over-average large and well furnished. Personal was very friendly. Breakfast was good and sufficient. Free parking is available at the hotel. When these are full, parking remains on the main street.
Very friendly guests. The rooms are convenient, very different in size and comfort. Firstly in a nice double room with quite small bathroom and later in a small single room with large bathroom. Unfortunately, the shower was missing on the bathtub, but on the wall was a unconflicted stick. However, for a weekend, it was quite enough. And the friendliness of the staff there made a lot of bet again.
The hotel is located on foot to all the attractions in Aachen, on the edge of the old town. Very nice operator couple, always helpful. There is a good breakfast that does not leave any wishes open. 2016 was a nuclear renovation, the price - performance ratio is very good. Stark recommendation !
We stayed here as part of a coach trip. It is a cosy little family owned place, the room sizes & types varied, but ours was a decent sized twin, no complaints there. Breakfast was the usual continental offering, with several cold meats, cheeses, 3 types of bread, preserves, cereals, tea & coffee. Dinner was a set 3 course menu, all well prepared & very tasty.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI stayed for over a week at the Novotel in Aachen while on a business trip. The hotel is ideally situated next to a great shopping area. Parking is super easy and you need to use our card key to access the elevator. The same card key access is required to enter the lobby after hours. Seems very secure and safe. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. My room as an ”executive” room on the 4th floor, was on a corner and had floor to ceiling windows. What I liked: - Very quiet room - Comfortable bed - Mini-fridge with window and free daily drinks and snacks (5 Item selection including wine and beer) - Great desk setup with memory foam chair - Good TV with external HDMI input - Real glasses in the room - Bathroom wall mounted soap dispenser + other amenities - Nespresso machine with pods and cream To improve - WiFi, even though i was on the premium plan, the signal was weak to moderate - No USB ports - Water pressure just ok - Bathroom sink has not much counter space - AirCon only goes so low (perhaps 24/25?) as other reviewers have noted TIP: If you arrive on a Sunday to Aachen, almost everything is closed, however, towns in Netherlands are as close as a 20 minute drive and most stores are open from noon on Sunday
HHomeschool_Mom_PattiEverything was good & twin beds were comfy, except the breakfast buffet didn't have any cooked eggs, sausage, or bacon! Too many breads & standard make-your-own waffle, and no normal black tea. Diamond members receive 2 drinks/snacks. Shower is not fully enclosed in glass and therefore can get floor very wet if you're not careful. Hotel is not near city centre. A seasonal shuttle to Christmas market should be offered. Taxi from hbf was €13.50. Bus picks up right down the street as well, but was difficult for Americans to navigate buses.
This was our second visit as the location is perfect. It is close to bus stops, the cathedral area and a pedestrianised shopping street.there is a taxi rank right opposite. On the doorstep are a couple of nice cafes, an ice cream parlour, two great German bakeries and even a Subway and a McDonalds for those who want something familiar. The rooms are a good size with a good shower and lovely neroli and bergamot liquid soap and shampoo dispensers. The air conditioning is efficient - some might find it noisy but it’s a white noise which didn’t bother us. The quilts are really think so we took ours out of the cover and just used that as our stay coincided with the Sept heatwave. There is a kettle and sachets in the room which we gratefully made use of. Breakfast was great. We didn’t have any of the hot food but the cold meats and cheeses were a good selection and the breads were nice. The fruit salad was excellent and the latte coffee from the machine very good. Ordinary coffee was available on the tables but the machine offered cappuchino, latte etc. The tea wasn’t so good - great choice again, but any Uk based person going for the English Breakfast option will be disappointed. We saw a little bar area but it never appeared to be open - we were there mid-week in Sept, so maybe it’s a peak season/weekend thing. The staff were friendly and our request for an extra pillow each was met immediately. This is the place we will always try to book when coming to Aachen
HHAOCHENGAfter all, it is five stars and the hardware is good. The room is big enough and the breakfast is rich enough, especially the friendly staff. The underground car park is very convenient, with 16 Euros overnight, and it is 16 Euros when you go in and out several times during the day. The only thing is that there is no medical first aid kit, and the child has fallen without a disinfectant. . . . There is a park nearby and children like it.
GGuest UserOur 1 night stay was good but the girl in reception is kinda rude, if we ask for a favor or question she will make face and looks tired while doing the favor or answering us. Also, the breakfast is good but small choices. But the rest are ally good and other staff.
TTraveler56192967619We stayed at the Mercure Aachen Europaplatz for one night in May 2023. This was an overnight stop on our Journey from the UK to Bonn. The hotel is in a good location, very close to the motorway and with easy access to Aachen. Check in was quick and very efficient. The staff where extremely helpful and pleasant and made us feel very welcome. We had 2 rooms including a disabled room. Both where very well laid out. Clean, Functional and very comfortable. The disabled room was a wet room style which was perfect for my sister with whom I was travelling. Plenty of space, and well laid out. The only downside if anything was that the bed was a little lower then expected. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, the food was very enjoyable, the staff extremely helpful especially with getting a table set up for a wheelchair and overall seemed to be good value. Breakfast was included in the morning but had very limited choices however this may have been as we arrived close to the finishing time. Overall this was a very nice hotel with easy access, good parking, friendly staff, nice rooms and offered good value. I would not hesitate to stay here again if i had the opportunity.
周周The parking lot charges EUR32 per night, which is a bit outrageous. For breakfast, you can consider eating at a burger restaurant 300 meters near the hotel. The double beds are relatively large, and the environment is quiet and comfortable.
We stayed at this hotel for 10 days while helping our son move to Aachen from a different part of Germany. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient as it is only a 5 minute walk from the train station, and about 15 minute walk to both our son's new apartment in the Frankenberger neighborhood and also to the old town. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Panayoti who spoke very good English and explained all the charges on our hotel bill clearly. The breakfast offered a variety of healthy choices and fresh baked goods and was reasonably priced. The hotel felt very safe both in terms of Covid precautions and security at night time when returning late. The only thing I felt was not quite up to my expectations were the flat pillows and firm beds. I prefer fluffier pillows and a softer bed, but it was comfortable enough for the length of our stay. When I return to Aachen, I will not hesitate to book a stay at this hotel again.
I stayed with my family at B&B Aachen recently. It was recommended by a friend. The staff was amazing and very kind. They were very accommodating while we checked in, making sure our families were all staying in the same floor. The rooms were very clean, spacious with comfortable beds. Parking entrance is in the back of the hotel. We made sure with the staff that our rental SUV fit the parking elevator. Location couldn’t be any better. Central, close to the main square, shops, and restaurants.
CCor HavikThe room was a surprise, the room was a big, the sanitary room was a good room, the shower cabin was a big, the whole looked clean and clean. Breakfast had enough choice.
My final judgement: for the price you have a very good room in the center against the station.
