Starphire Hotel

Prince Edward and Tai Kok Tsui
The hotel is a bit out of the way from main tourist area- Nathan Road. It is about 15 minutes from the nearest tube station. The east and south of hotel is surrounded by some small metal retails commerce and car repair shops. I didn't like the metal and repair smells. The west of the hotel is one block away from a shopping plaza and also a lovely park. My taxi driver didn't know the hotel location until I gave him the address. The hotel entry is not easily spotted. The hotel reception is on the third floor. It looks bigger in the picture than in reality. I booked the 2 nights stay as I thought it is in a new reclaimed land area. I thought the hotel is located in a residential area. Considering the hotel is only 2 years new, I would expect the lifts are in best condition. I would appreciate the staff at the front of the desk with some smile. The lady in charge of the breakfast was lovely. The rooms are small, but designed to maximize the space. They are clean and the shower is great.
Silvermine Beach Resort

Islands District
The perfect place to relax before entering HK downtown, or after leaving it. It shows signs of the time passed but it is totally OK. Chinese or Western breakfast available. Smack on the beach with an outdoor ground terrace. Super quiet in the evening. It can be reached by bus from Tung Chung bus station or by ferry from HK. Nice walks are to be had too, to hill tops or beaches. HK airport is on the other side of the island, and you can take the Ngong Ping cable car to the big Buddha from Tung Chung. If I get back to HK I will relax in this hotel first.
Grand Bay View Hotel

Tsuen Wan
The hotel was ok, the shuttle bus was very convenient. But after sale service is not good. We left an item in the room, but when I called the next day to help me to pick it up, the staff was not interested to help.
Two MacDonnell Road

Central
We really liked the hotel, all staff were most helpful and attentive, the room was spacious and clean, food in cafe 8 was tasty, the location in Midlevels near the Botanical Garden was very good, we walked through it down to Central.
Mingle By The Park

Wan Chai and Causeway Bay
Service is great, check-in is smooth (either passport copy or 500HKD deposit), no lift available therefore be careful before booking if you have much luggage. Despite these small setbacks, service is super attentive and with great English, the room is super clean and offers a cozy and quiet retreat right in the middle of Wanchai. Much recommended for either long-stays or short-crash. Beware, like every HK room, it is small, but cleanliness and coziness are worth it. PS: The table is too small for working so use a café in case a laptop is required.
The Charterhouse Causeway Bay

Wan Chai and Causeway Bay
Overall is good just that they don’t provide personal care like toothbrush and toothpaste. Toilet gets flood easily after bath, and no extra towel/ floor mat to clean up the mess. Hotel staffs are helpful and professional. We reached at 1pm they immediately checked the room availability and let us check in earlier 👍🏻
Royal Plaza Hotel

Mong Kok
Overall, the hotel feels quite new compared to the usual hotels in Kowloon which can be relatively old. Quite a good sized room with a nice view for the price, especially in Hong Kong. Check-in on a Sat afternoon was a little chaotic but understandable given the volume. The hotel is connected directly to the mall which is very convenient. There’s an MTR (Mongkok East) exit into the mall too. To get to Nathan Road etc., might be best to take a walk as it’s a bit of a detour to take the East Rail Line MTR to connect to Tsuen Wan Line MTR.
Regala Skycity Hotel
4.2/55998 Reviews
HongKong International Airport
Regala Skycity Hotel is a great option for travelers seeking a convenient and affordable stay near Hong Kong International Airport. The hotel's free shuttle bus service makes it easy to get to and from the airport. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are well-designed and efficient. The overall cleanliness is above average.

This is our top 1 favourite hotel, The room was amazing very clean and spacious, i was expecting to have a complimentary toothbrush but they don’t have it. Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Mongkok

Mong Kok
Stayin at 606 room. The Room is ok, but the toilet has this some smelly aroma, at first I just ignore it because I only stayin for one night. And then at Night the smelly aroma went into the room, can’t sleep well cause of the aroma. Tried to close the toilet door, but it won’t close properly because there’s this long rubber guard on the door that hasn’t been cut properly. Lastly, the wallpaper inside the room need some proper maintance. Its so worn out already.
