Luganodante definitely like you (us)! Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Room is clean and cosy. Had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant/bistro - flame grill - awesome service! The only regret was staying there for just one night, wish we had stayed longer. Will definitely choose to stay at Luganodante again if we are back. Thank you team! IMPORTANT TIP: please take the funicular - Lugano Città - from the Lugano Stazione to the hotel (just stop outside the hotel, very convenient). If feeling adventurous, proceed to enjoy the walk/hike down to the hotel from the station.

The arrival is unwelcoming and impersonal. We didn’t even get a smile, much less any information to the amenities. I was then sent on an odyssey to find the room down a confusing maze of corridors, overly decorated with scores of faux Roman busts. The room itself was a very good size but the decor faded and scratched. The carpet stained, the air con noisy. One of the chairs was broken. The style is smart late 1980’s, certainly not to current styles. There is a peculiar little kitchenette but without anything to make use of it. Not even a kettle, much less any complimentary coffee or tea which I would expect at the price. On the first night we slept on pillows that were hard like bags of flower, the second night I requested softer pillows which were provided. There isn’t a shower, merely a shower attachment in the bath and flimsy plastic cups instead of proper glasses for toothbrushes. The breakfast was included and is standard Swiss buffet, adequate but nothing special. Especially the reconstituted catering scrambled egg was disappointing. What makes this hotel, is the beautifully kept garden and well maintained pool area. But generally speaking, I feel this is quite overpriced and not good value for money.

The hotel has a homey feel. It is quite large for a solo traveler. The hotel is located at the center - train station is quite accessible too via the funicular. Breakfast was fine. Though one has to book the time as the space is quite small and that social distancing is practiced. Masks are required while taking the food. Staff is very approachable and helpful, and can speak English so it was quite easy to communicate.

Eat excellent in the Bistro, since full booked in the restaurant! Unfortunately only one night a.Gr. of much work also in Lugano (visit a super performance in the art and culture center). The fitness/sauna was unfortunately closed, but private spa was bookable before departure Sunday morning ... good alternative. The gardens around the sky! Positive: The building is very stoic and impressive. Personell is very friendly Negative: We booked a suite and we could hear the people next door showering and watching TV My wife booked a pregnancy Massage and was taken in 10 minutes late and let go 10 minutes to early (rip off!!) We were twice seated in the middle of the room, where no privacy has had to be had. Other people sat all around of you! Portions of all food are VERY small, for the price you are paying absolutely not worth it. Quality was okeyish (we were there two nights and ate breakfast and dinner there) Suite was kinda smelly and there was watter damage on the ground (suite has a jacuzzi) Luckily part of the trip was paid by a third party, otherwise i had felt ripped of very hard. You pay premium and recieve budget!

Thought it was a two-star hotel and it turned out to be a surprise. It’s really ten minutes to walk from the train station, but I took the bus twice when I dragged the big box in and out. The hotel in this state will give me a free bus ticket. There are 2 roads in front of the hotel that can go directly to the train station. The single room is just perfect for one person. A big box can be spread out, the wardrobe is enough, and there are enough TV channels including CNN and BBC. There is a small gym. I asked the front desk for the key. Although it stopped at 8 o'clock in the evening, I asked the front desk to take the initiative to use it. I couldn't find the switch to find someone to help me patiently and enthusiastically. I didn't dislike it at all. mean. The front desks I met were very good, especially the one at check-out. The luggage room was open consciously. She said that she put my computer bag under the desk at the front desk to help me watch it until 6 o’clock in the evening. When picking up the luggage, she asked me if I wanted to use the bathroom, which was really touched. During our one-night stay at Hotel Admiral in Lugano, Switzerland, we encountered a very pleasant and accommodating staff. However, we found the rooms to be rather peculiar. It seemed evident that some bathroom modifications were attempted, but unfortunately, they appeared unfinished. The shower, for instance, seemed to have been relocated without appropriate adjustments to the rest of the bathroom. While the rooms were clean, they emanated a slightly shabby and aged atmosphere, as can be seen in the provided pictures. On the positive side, the hotel's location was quite convenient, situated approximately 15 to 20 minutes away from the city center by foot. All things considered, I would rate our experience a 6 out of 10. Although the staff was commendable, the overall offering didn't quite match the price we paid.

The people who work at Hotel Besso are extremely kind. Never in my life have I experienced such great hospitality before. They accommodated our every need, and when my father had a heart attack in Lugano one very kind man from the staff drove me to the hospital. They upgraded our room and made sure we were comfortable. The hotel is close to restaurants, shopping and the lake. You can see the lake from the balcony. We will surely be coming here again.

Pour passer 4 jours dans la région nous avons choisi cet hôtel car son emplacement est idéal à 3 minutes de la gare, 5 minutes du lac et 10 minutes de la grand place. La chambre choisie avec un beau balcon était située au 4eme étage et donnait une vue sur le lac. La chambre était assez grande et la salle de bain toute neuve. Le petit-déjeuner était copieux et varié avec des produits salés et sucrés. Le parking couvert réservé était très accessible. C’était un très bon choix.

Professional and pleasant staff. Every one of the service providers at the hotel is smiling and happy to help. The room was very clean, and the bed very comfortable. The shower is great. Breakfast is rich and varied from most of the hotels I have been to. There is paid parking at the hotel. The lobby is also very comfortable for sitting with a computer and working. My family and I recently stayed at the Hotel Dell’ Angelo in Locarno. I was accompanied by my medical assistance dog. I was disappointed to find out that the hotel charged me a pet fee even though I explained that my dog is a medical assistance dog and was willing to show the clerk my government issued service dog ID from my home province British Columbia in Canada as well as the attached info which was issued by Hotellerie Swiss. The clerk was quite rude and didn’t want to see either and just handed me a business card and told me to email the manager/owner of the hotel. After my return to Canada I sent an email to the hotel and included the attached info and also sent a message via Facebook, but over a month later I still haven’t heard back. CHF12 isn’t a huge deal for one night, but that can add up quickly if staying at a hotel for several nights. Assistance dogs are considered medical equipment and aren’t pets. They are needed to help a person with a disability. Apart from the pet charge and the rude front desk person, we had a good stay. Restaurant staff was friendly and the food was good. Location is great as well. The rooms are tiny and old-fashioned, but I guess for the price you can’t expect more. Soap and facecloths in the room would have been nice.

We stayed here for 4 nights arriving from Zermatt. We felt comfortable from the moment we got picked up at the station. Our room overlooked the lake with a spacious balcony. The hotel service is impeccable and in these unprecedented times we found the hotel clean and prepared. We enjoyed the BBQ on Swiss National Day! It had a nice feel with live music sitting out on the terrace our 6 year old son was looked after and we’d like to thank all the staff for a wonderful time. We have been to Locarno a few times but this was our first at this hotel and certainly won’t be our last.

This simple, budget hotel is very good value for money. It is clean and comfortable, if a bit old. The breakfast buffet was also good value for money. The hotel is central, on the main square in Locarno, and close to the lake. Checking in and out was efficient. The hotel also has a restaurant but we didn't eat there.

The Hotel is situated in the middle of Paradiso Park, south of Logano, with a splendid view of the town and Lake Lugano. The rooms are nice and spacious with modern furniture and lighting management system, etc. The restaurants consist of a brasserie and a Michelin-level restaurant, which are handled by a service-minded and professional staff. The reception works fine and handles all our requests for boat trips, hiking, trains, and use of electric cars (Smart)/bikes that are a part of the hotel amenities without a separate charge. There is a big garage for cars beneath the hotel, which came in very handy upon our arrival from southern Frace as northern Italy suffered its worst hailstorm in centuries. We were very happy about the spa section, which we used several times.

Out of the train station, you need to push the luggage to go uphill, walk 15-20min, very tiring. The hotel is built on the hillside and on the mountain, so Lobby is on the 2nd floor. And we booked the terrace room, in the PL floor, lawn, recliner, lake view, sunset... After all, it belongs to the Italian-speaking area, so the staff looks more like a passionate Italian. When checking in, there will be a welcoming welcome drink and a coupon to print the name of the occupant. The blonde glasses sister at the front desk will send us to the room and introduce the hotel facilities and opening hours all the way. At the moment of opening the door, I was shocked. The hotel is well located for easy access to Lugano and the lakeside. The rooms were clean, reception had been smartened up since our last visit but the big plus is the excellent breakfast - plentiful supplies with a wide choice. All the staff we encountered were helpful. The only downside was that there didn’t appear to be a three person room which, since we stayed three nights would have been a big help.

The hotel is very good. The room is quite large, suitable for family travel, there are not many varieties of breakfast, but the taste is not bad. The hotel's swimming pool is quite suitable for children. The lake at the entrance of the hotel is beautiful, the scenery is very good, and it is very comfortable to go out for a walk. The only downside is that it is far from the famous attractions in Switzerland, and Grindwa and Interlaken are still much more beautiful.
