The hotel is very good, the sea view is invincible, and the restaurant is beautiful. The hotel has room types on both sides of the sea and the woods, but there is no choice when booking. We have noted that we need to rely on the sea through Trip.com. The downside of the hotel is that it is far from the pier and the airport, a diagonal. If you take the bus to the attractions, it will be very tossing. Many travel notes on the Internet are by bus, and it is more convenient to live in Miyagi-ura Port or Anagawa Port. The cottage forest is a cottage located in funayuki, Yakushima CHO, Kumamo County, Kagoshima Prefecture. You can stay at an early American style house. On April 7, 2022, I climbed Mt. I bought a frozen pizza at a coop because I had a mini kitchen. I stayed for ２ in October. It was about a 7-minute walk from the airport, so I arrived in the morning, so I had my luggage checked in before check-in, and I was able to leave it until I got on the plane on my way home, so it was very convenient. The airport is close, but the number of planes is small, so it is not noisy. Morning and night ２ It was a meal, but the food was very delicious, the number of items was very large, and the local ingredients were fashionably arranged and I was full. ４ I won't get tired of staying overnight with all the different contents. Everything from jam, dressing and yogurt was handmade by my wife. I was able to ask for a lunch box for a mountain climbing tour and it was delicious. It happened that we were the only customers due to the cancellation of the typhoon, so as soon as we came back, we prepared a bath and it was very comfortable with the friendly owner and wife. The price is reasonable and the room is shared but can be rented out. I was in a room with a toilet so there was no inconvenience. I think it's a very good inn. I would definitely recommend it if you go to Yakushima.

The hotel is next to Miyanoura Pier. Although it only takes a five-minute walk to arrive, we were overwhelmed by the heavy rain when we got off the high-speed ferry. We called the hotel for help and sent a car to the pier within 5 minutes to make us reach the hotel safely. Thank you for the extra help. We ordered breakfast and dinner for two days. The hotel was able to provide a non-repetitive menu, and we were very satisfied with the quality and quantity. The soup was also great.

We spent 2 nights here at the beginning of March and absolutely loved it. We had two Japanese style rooms (one per person), with Tatami mats on the floor and Futons as a bed. We had a toilet, but a bit strangely no shower, which was not a problem, because in the indoor and outdoor baths, there are good shower facilities. The rooms are a bit small, but totally okay for one person (for two persons it would be a bit crowded). The indoor and outdoor baths are lovely and as usual, separated by gender. We had halfboard included, which was amazing. Dinner is a several courses Kaiseki dinner, and really tasty and diverse. If you dont eat meat, seafood and fish, you will not be happy however. Breakfast is a japanese bento box, and a small buffet. For lunch, you can order a bento box, which we did, and which was very tasty and the best bento box I had so far in 3 trips to Japan. Staff is very friendly, and even if they dont speak much englisch, they really go out of their way to help. The Ryokan is just opposite the small airport, where there is also a bus stop. In easy walking distance there are two supermarkets, and a very good italian restaurants (Il Mare), which make excellent pizza and pasta, using local ingredients like ****ake mushrooms and boar meat. The buses run very unfrequently, so you are better off with a rental car. Its excellent value for money, especially if you love japanese food.

We stayed 7 nights, and chose this guest house based on previous reviews. Probably because of end of year timing, there were no English speaking staff. The guest house was run by a very lovely elderly couple who ensured we were comfortable despite language barriers. This was the main reason for 5-star review. The tatami room was large and comfortable, but always smelt damp on entering. Had a sink in the room which was useful. The bath was just divine everyday after long hikes. We were the only guests for a few days, and realised the walls were quite thin on days with other guests. Most people were considerate of this. Free use of washing machine, dryer 100yen. Breakfast and dinners were great, traditional Japanese style - a must try. Ramen shop to the left of guest house is not on google maps - also a must try (just walk next door). We are a minute drive from large supermarket and yen store, and across from that is an amazing cafe/restaurant with top quality pasta and pizza, plus other fusion dishes. Perfect for a rainy slow day. Hired hiking for 2-days shoes for 1000yen. Very new and clean. They forgot to order our bento lunch boxes, and elderly gentleman was awake at 430am making rice balls for us that he would not charge us for.
