Madrid Hostels

I have stayed in many hostels before but at TOC it was the first time I stayed in a shared room ( female only). I was a bit worried as I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great. The hostel is awesome, has friendly staff and is the most modern hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were quite nicely soundproofed as you couldn't hear much from the hallways as it is usual for other hostels. In my 6 bed female room, we had 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers - it was enough. :) I will be coming back, definitely!

One of the best hostel I've ever been to. The 8-people shared bedroom was BIG, with beds safely distant. The overall cleanliness of the host was good, the atmosphere was great (with sangria parties going on every night downstairs and Madrid tours every morning) but the best part was the staff: super friendly and ready to help you. The Italian girl working at the reception was lovely! She recommended lots of her favourite restaurants and they were so good. Thank you so much!

The shower is broken, you can only take a shower with a shower that cannot be moved on the ceiling. There is no guardrail on the bunk bed, and I am a little afraid of falling when I sleep, which is a bit dangerous. The provided body milk thought it was a moisturizer, but it would foam when touched with water. I suspected that the body wash was put into the body milk. The location of the hotel is good, the subway station is nearby, very convenient.

It is a very smart hotel. There is no one to help you check in, you have to do it yourself. There is a big gap after the toilet door is closed, so privacy cannot be guaranteed. Finally for the bed, I was unfortunately assigned to the upper floor. Even though I am 182cm tall, getting in and out of bed was still a challenge. I wish I could shorten the ground clearance. There were some minor stains on the sheets.

The hostel was really nice. The location is good, the staff is really welcoming and smiling and the room was nice. I was really surprised to get such a nice room for a really cheap price. The locker with its key are included in the price of the room and there was everything required to sleep comfortably. I really recommend it.

I would like to share my experience staying at this wonderful hostel in Madrid and give a special shoutout to the staff, who made our stay memorable. Firstly, I have to mention Ricardo, who welcomed us warmly and provided us with all the necessary information about the city. He patiently answered all our questions and gave us some great tips on places to visit, eat and shop. His local knowledge and friendly demeanor made us feel at home and we appreciated his efforts to make our stay enjoyable. Agustin was also amazing, always going out of his way to help us with anything we needed. He was friendly, approachable, and made us feel comfortable asking for help whenever we needed it. His cheerful attitude and willingness to assist made a huge difference to our experience at the hostel. Lastly, I have to mention Javier, who worked the night shift. He not only provided excellent service but also went above and beyond to ensure that everyone was having a great time. Every time before and after going out, he was always up for a conversation, making sure that everyone was in high spirits. His presence gave us a sense of community and his pleasant manner made us feel welcome and cared for. Overall, our experience at this hostel was fantastic, and it was largely due to the wonderful staff. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment to making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible was greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Madrid and looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Generator Madrid was an amazing location! Located in the heart of Madrid and was super convenient. Everything was walkable distance. Place was also clean and very smartly designed. Service staffs were also really nice and helpful. Just a pity that toilet amenities were not provided (no soap/shampoo/towels, all had to be paid for). Hairdryer was available but needed a 20 euros cash deposit (returned upon return of hairdryer).

The hostel had a great location! There were lots of great restaurants near by and the night life was fun. They don’t provide any soap or shampoo in the shower. The rooms are small and a tight fit with 3 bunk beds. Nothing fresh for breakfast. I guess you get what you paid for.

Great location hostel, near train station and walking distance to other hot spots. Very clean and neat. I got a girls dorm had little no one in it which was great! also had a view! Problems: you can’t bring in outside food? I’m clearly on a budget. i would like to bring snacks and things to my room. No alcohol allowed.... ok. Walls are paper thin. And the cleaning crew throws the door open every morning with out a knock to check if decent. Was a problem for me as my door was first by the elevator. Warning would be nice. And they still clean, if you are laying in bed or not. Maybe have a deadline. Mer. I saw a private room and would say it’s worth the price but share rooms are good too. Many bathroom and showers (sperate) so one is always open.

Excellent hostel- we wouldn’t normally use hostels anymore but we’re 3 friends on a city break and it looked great. It was in fact superb- very cool communal areas on the ground floor and the rooms were excellent. Beds very well set up with light and usb switch and very comfortable. We also liked the free activities- exercise classes, sangria making, walking tour etc that encouraged some community. Would highly recommend!
