Finding concentric circles means finding true love! The owner and the proprietress of this B&B are simple and capable. They treat people sincerely and show love to every detail of their guests! The hotel has a great design! Eat as many fruit snacks as you want! The room is big, clean, nice and well divided. There is a large sun terrace where you can drink tea, and it is also equipped with comfortable rocking chairs! The homestay is very close to the entrance of the scenic spot. If you go out to eat or play, the owner will pick you up and drop you off! Recommended place to eat, the view is great! Anyway, I like this homestay very much. Very worth it!
Located in a small alley, you’ll need to walk down some steps to get to this alley from 豹子灣 (Baoziwan Jetty). The hotel is in the quiet corner of FengHuang Old Town, the popular nightspots and pubs on the other end of the river. Our room is on the 4th floor (entrance and reception are located on the 2nd floor, bizarre) overlooking the river, giving magnificent views during the entire stay. Room is small, but comes equipped with a powerful air conditioning. Bathroom is a bit tricky as it is a step up, and the drainage is not very efficient, if you have the shower running for some time, there’s risk of water overflowing into the room.
This hotel must be rated 100 points. It has a good location and is very close to Bailang and Gaoyiling. Downstairs is the riverside for a walk, the air is fresh! The boss has put a lot of effort into the B&B. The bath towels, face towels, toilet seats are all disposable, as is the projector.... There are also steam eye masks, tea leaves, fruits, and dried small items. They are really thoughtful! The most important thing is that the room is very clean! I want to emphasize that the boss is very enthusiastic and talkative!

Four friends traveled together and it was a very satisfying stay. The room was very large, and the boss also prepared welcome fruits, coffee, and afternoon tea. The room can directly see the core attraction Laladu, and the ferry crossing is right downstairs. It's very convenient. The hotel is in a very central location. It's so comfortable to have a late night snack and stroll around the old streets of the ancient town!
The boss is very nice and knows everything about the local area. He knows everything you ask.
Awesome
Must praise!
The B&B is right by the river, with great scenery. The B&B service is in place, patiently introducing and explaining the surrounding attractions, and helping guests make targeted travel plans. It feels like home, thank you very much!
Love it!♥️😁 Best hotel in Fenghuang. After staying here we would love to come back. The room is comfy and the view is fantastic, right opposite the pier where we would later took on the night boat cruise. The staff are very friendly - helping us with directions, tixkets, taxi, and luggage. When we were here, we could see people practicing for the dragon boat race festival which will be on May 31st. The atmosphere around the hotel is superb. The darker it gets, the more beautiful and colder the city becomes👏🌈🎑overall we would recommend this place for everyone who would love to come to Fenghuang. Last but not least, thank you for the ginger candies souvenirs! 😍

I had an unforgettable experience at Xuanyun Viewing Country B&B in Furong Town. From the moment I arrived, the host was warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. One of the standout touches was the free pick-up service from the high-speed train station, which made arriving super convenient.
The B&B itself is in a perfect location only 1 minute walk to the entrance of Furong Town, making it incredibly easy to explore. The room was absolutely perfect: very clean, comfortable, and offering stunning views of the surrounding area. The atmosphere throughout the B&B is peaceful and inviting, a true escape from the hustle of daily life.
I truly loved my stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Furong. It’s the ideal blend of comfort, hospitality, and location.
Fenghuang ancient city is a amazing, nice place. However, taking taxi is a bad experience. If your group is more than 2 persons, recommend to taking city bus directly without delay.
The hotel staff met us at the bus station and fetch us to hotel. Location was very convenient as it's near to the Hongqiao Bridge.
Our room for 4 persons is small as we have 4 large luggages and not much walkway.
The room was comfortable, and had a fantastic balcony with amazing view.
Amazing boutique hotel located in the center of Fenghuang old town, with amazing staff and great luxurious atmosphere! ❤️
The room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and with all modern amenities. Everything was incredibly clean and felt brand new. Our highlights were the comfy bedsheets and the elegant bathtub, which were the perfect end after a long day of traveling! Breakfast in the morning comes as a set menu of Chinese typical breakfast dishes, including noodle soup , dim sum, fresh fruit, all tasty and made fresh. In case you are too lazy to wake up early, in the room there is available a nice selection of local teas and coffee free of charge.☺️
The location of the hotel is very convenient, as it is central to the old town and yet away from the noise of the crowds and bars which stay opened until late ar night. All main points of interest are easily reachable by foot within 5 minutes.
A special mention goes to the family staff who went above and beyond to meet our request! They not only helped us organize car transfer from and to the train station, (including carrying our luggage to the main road since in the old town no cars are allowed), but also to book tickets to the nearby attractions, give us restaurant recommendations, and even provide heating machine for the room.
We cannot recommend enough this hotel for anybody who wants to spend a great relaxing time in Fenghuang old city. They surely know how to make a guest feel pampered for the whole stay!
5🌟 top service, thank you !!!
A Mixed Bag in Fenghuang.
My stay in Fenghuang offered a blend of excellent hospitality and comfort with some notable drawbacks. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, which truly enhanced the experience. The room itself was a haven of comfort; the beds and linens were top-notch, and the couch and desk provided a truly comfortable and functional space. The hotel's location was absolutely perfect, placing us right in the vibrant heart of Fenghuang's action. We also enjoyed a cool view from our room.
However, there were a few significant points of caution for future travelers. While we could connect to the Wi-Fi, there was no actual data connection, rendering it effectively useless for internet access. A more concerning issue was the pervasive and foul sewer smell that intermittently filled the room, particularly late at night. It wasn't constant, but when it appeared, it was quite strong and unpleasant.
Regarding the view, I had assumed from photos that the hotel was directly on the river. In reality, it's set back about a block, meaning you have to look over some dilapidated buildings to see the river. I suspect lower floors might not have any river view at all. Adding to this, as of May 2025, there's a pretty large construction project occurring just a few meters from the front of the balconies, which could impact the ambiance and noise levels for some guests.
Overall, if you prioritize comfort, a central location, and friendly service, this hotel has a lot to offer. Just be prepared for potential Wi-Fi issues, the intermittent sewer smell, and manage your expectations regarding the river view and nearby construction.

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay here, more of a personalised stay than large chain hotels, our hosts were awesome, friendly and provided good travel advice. They helped with our trip planning through the national park so we weren't touring at the busiest times and didn't have long lines for some of the attractions. Delicious meals at their restaurant, make sure you check the menu QR code in the room (more options) try the Ai Ye Baba - rice flour wormwood cake. Stunning views and a very comfortable room, lots of places to relax and enjoy the scenery around the property with convenient tea facilities at the different spots around the property. Will stay again for our next visit to Wulingyuan and Zhangjiajie.

CClinomaniac LyeLove our stay! This homestay provided far beyond the basic listed services and truly made our trip to Zhangjiajie memorable.
- before our arrival, we already felt the warmth and genuine hospitality. They patiently dialogued with us to plan how best to maximise our time during our 5D4N stay with them, and even considered the days after as we are moving to another homestay. They thoughtfully introduced and mapped out local attractions, helping us make the most of our trip.
- We appreciated their transparency when sharing their offerings and discounted rates, giving us space to compare without pressure. This gave us peace of mind even before checking in.
- One of the biggest highlights was how the homestay helped bridge the transportation gap. Despite the secluded location, they arranged reliable partner drivers who charged us at very competitive Didi rates, making travel easy and affordable without needing to worry about timing.
- We also loved the friendly dogs and cat around the homestay. They brought so much joy and warmth, and playing with them became part of our daily routine.
A special shoutout to Butler Jiang (将), who truly went above and beyond.
- Upon arrival, he noticed we had caught a cold and politely ask if he could prepare herbal tea for us. This became our daily comfort drink throughout the stay. We even felt shy asking for it so often, but he and the team kindly reminded us it was part of their care.
- One unforgettable moment was during a heavy downpour. With the road under government maintenance, access to the homestay became extra challenging for that day. Butler Jiang appeared with multiple umbrellas and a buggy (not something we had seen before!). Since cars couldn’t reach the homestay directly, he walked down to escort guests personally—soaked in rain but making sure each of us stayed dry. When we got on the buggy, we realized he had even opened umbrellas to keep the seats dry. We were deeply touched by his dedication. Upon returning, we were greeted by a joyful gathering of guests enjoying a mini party at the pavilion—a sight that perfectly captured the warmth and spirit of this homestay.
Another shoutout to their partnering driver sun (孙):
- After we moved to our second homestay, we once got stranded by the roadside because of Didi GPS error that made it difficult for a ride-hailing driver to locate the place. The only option offered by our then homestay was to dropped us at the base of a mountain, where we waited over 15 minutes with no success. Luckily, driver sun from Celestial Valley Homestay recognized us and offered us a ride, so we followed him back to Celestial Valley, and were warmly welcomed again with complimentary tea and another chance to enjoy the view and play with the pets.
- driver sun also took on our business and brought us to the city and even took us on another round trip to a faraway attraction. We were no longer guests at that point, yet the hospitality continued. We were truly thankful for the extended service and kindness.
This homestay gave us more than just a place to stay—it offered warmth, care, and unforgettable memories. It's this genuine hospitality that makes Celestial Valley such a rare gem.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for heartfelt service, breathtaking views and a true home away from home.

JJimlim33We enjoyed our stay at Twang Palace Babutang. They picked us up when our taxi called them. If not, we might be lost finding the hotel. So, please contact the hotel when you are staying with them. They also fetch us to the train station after we check-out. The views at our hotel room, overlooking the waterfall and the surrounding places was priceless. We took a lot of photos. We were lucky to have a good night sleep as the mosquito did not disturb us.
SSS-SingaporeReach ZJJ west station via the high speed rail from Changsha. After Existing the station, keep left to the Bus Station to WuLingYuan. Need to tell the staff there so they will ask the bus to detour into the station to pick ups up. Cost 13RMB per trip. Tell the Bus driver u going to East Gate, Dong Meng. You will alight after the round about along WuLing Road. From there it's just a 5 mins walk to the hotel. Greeted by Mr Yang. the owner of the hotel. I reached the hotel early at 10am, Mr Yang is nice enough to prep the room early and let me check-in. He orientated me to the surrounding and suggest my route to tour the national park. I was staying there for 3 nights. So i bought the 4 days entry ticket + unlimited Cable Cars(3 routes) & BaiLong lift ride. Very worth it if you are staying there for 4 days. Mr Yang helped me to purchase the ticket at a discount price (488RMB). Totally enjoyed the walk, hike, climb, cable car rides & lift rides as it's a low tourist season. But I make an effort to wake yp early and take the first scenic shuttle bus to the locations. The East Gate opens at 7am in the morning, closed at abt 730pm. The East Gate where the WuLingMeng landmark building is, is where all the shuttle buses will depart to the different locations, eg, to TianZhiShan, BaiLong Elevator or Ten Miles gallery. I will usually Didi to and back from the East gate to the hotel, cost abt 6-8RMB. Walking is about 1.5km. 15mins. I skip the Grand Canyon as I think it's abit overpriced and not very scenic. After the stay, I took the same public bus to ZJJ city for TianZhiShan. The pickup location for the public bus is at the same round abt, just wave at the blue bus with the label to ZJJ. Price is also 13rmb and can be paid onboard via WeChat pay. My Yang help me to buy the mountain ticket in advance as its always crowded there. I paid 238rmb for Route 2 ticket which is taking the bus up the mountain and cable car back to the city. It was super nice up in the mountain and the cable car ride was a superb experience. If you need more info can email me @ *****************. Can share more with u solo traveler. Additional Info: The location of the hotel is the best I feel, there are many shops and eatery. Do not stay at the west gate area of WuLingYuan, it's very inconvenient there. The room of the hotel is super big and clean. Bed is VERY comfortable. You have everything you need in the room. Mr Yang will often make me Chinese tea and chit chat. Very friendly and humble boss. Will definitely come back and stay in his hotel again.

YYibeibingmeishi︵This Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain travel and accommodation experience was excellent! First, when we arrived at the homestay, the boss came out to receive us and helped us park the car, and took us in to check in. After that, seeing that we were a family of three with a puppy, and there were relatively few people that day, he helped us upgrade the room type for free, with a small yard, which was very comfortable. After that, he also helped us talk about the Tianmen Mountain travel guide, so that we understood the general travel route. For dinner, we also experienced the Zhangjiajie special three-pot, which was a big pot and three people were very satisfied. The next morning, the boss personally cooked breakfast for us, and it was also very delicious. If it weren't for the time being a bit rushed this time, I would definitely play for a few more days. Let's see you next time, see you later!

ПпутешественницаIt's one of the most cozy hotels in China, in which I was. And the only one in which the shower is built separately from the toilet. I was sorry to leave my very nice, very comfortable room! Location Super! I walked from the bus station just 8 minutes. And five minutes to the eastern (main) entrance to the Park. The boss woman is very friendly, she drew me a precise route in the Park. Her help is invaluable!! Wish prosperity to your business! I strongly recommend!

AAnonymous UserOur stay at this hotel was an unforgettable experience. The room was uniquely designed, immaculately clean, and offered a breathtaking view of Furong ancient city. The hotel's location within the ancient city walls and the convenient pickup service made our trip planning seamless. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable and enchanting experience.
RRobMKThe hotel name says it all.
Amazing views from the hotels front rooms.
Staff incredibly helpful.
Lots of stairs everywhere in and around main attractions so might not suit everyone, but if it's not a problem for you then staying here is a bit like living in a dream come true.
Fenghuang's historic Tower is 50 metres away, and boat rides are a minute further along.
Countless authentic restaurants are within 5-10 minutes away and my favourite Luckin Coffee shop was a minute along from the Rainbow Bridge.
There's a vibrant night life so music from many bands blares across the river from 7pm to 11pm. I was so worn out from days of exploring that I never noticed and fell asleep quickly on the room's massive and comfortable king sized bed.
I experienced near perfect weather over 2.5 days and can say that Fenghuang was a much better overall experience than either Lijiang or Dali's very popular ancient towns.
CCarol BerkeryThis was an amazing stay and the host was so incredibly kind. He helped me navigate Wulingyuan forest park and get tickets for Tianmen Mountain too. He was checking in all the time to make sure everything and OK. The food was so good too, I text my order everyday and he had it ready for the time we had arranged. It was very tasty! All around a great trip!
