Homewood Suites by Hilton Durango

Issues with the room accommodations that were reserved over the phone regarding a fold away bed. I reserved a two room suite and a fold away bed to accommodate our family of five. When arrived met with front desk clerk Ivori and went to our room. Left the family unpacking while I went to advise the front desk we were missing our food away. Ivori was very dismissive of my concern and said she could give us a smaller room, a studio suite, that could accommodate our request due to a fire hazard. I reluctantly agreed since I had initially spent more on the larger room. The main issue was her attitude toward us stating that we needed to pack up all our belongings and bring them back down so she could physically ensure we were out of the room before she would give us another. I asked her to please allow us to move straight into another room as to avoid our family having to drag our belongings back to the front desk then up to another room especially since we had traveled about 9 hours and were exhausted. She, Ivori, refused and said she wanted to physically see us downstairs at the front desk before helping us. Never been treated this way at Hilton property before and might never stay ar another one again.
Hampton Inn Durango

When I was looking for a Hilton near Durango, Co. I was pleasantly surprise to find there are 3. One at the South end, one in the middle and one at the North end. The North one, Hampton Inn, was most convenient for us. It was everything I've come to expect from a Hilton. Spacious room. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious too. Excellent service from the staff. Nice breakfast buffet. Great location. Keep up the great work.
Quality Inn Durango

Most excellent accommodations, very clean, most comfortable, excellent staff, especially a person/Toby, a woman working the front desk whom helped out with our reservations from the day before as airline/United dumped out flight and we lost a day there in Durango. We failed to call and alert them as was scrambling to suget a flight for the next day. She was nice enough to not penalizes us for not alerting them. Also she arranged for a couple rooms for this return trip 5 days later. Because of Toby's understanding of situation as well as how nice the room and surroundings were; most highly recommended Quality Inn for our return stay possibly next year. Bless you Toby and staff.
Baymont by Wyndham Durango

While I can't complain about the price of this hotel. It did not live up to the expectations that I had. Location wise, it's near a fairly busy street and not only are the walls thin but there are gaps in the door so I heard every time a car passed by along with all of the commotion that happened outside. Additionally, the photos that you see on the hotels website and reviews don't accurately portray what the hotel looks like in person. It feels like this hotel was attempted to be renovated and got halted somewhere in the middle.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Durango

Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. The best is Chef Ralph. Yes you read it Chef. The Hatch green chili sauce for your eggs was over the top for the usual hotel breakfast but his friendly and accommodating nature is not common in our critical society. One morning he asked me if I wanted to take it up a notch? “okay “ He served me a toasted marbled rye with an avocado spread and crumbled salmon that was indicative of a chef and not a cook. Please go meet Ralph. He is good people as we say down South.
