We had wanted to visit the Auckland project after a previous visit to Kynren. The hotel is set on a main road and the rooms are in a courtyard setting at the rear.Our room was on the first floor and was decorated to a high standard. Bathroom high spec and excellent shower. The road was busy during day and early evening but the windows drowned out noise so we had a quiet night. The room was much larger than most hotel rooms. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel. The food was exceptional, hot and delicious. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served. Breakfast portions were actually too big. The staff were all local and so friendly. We visited Auckland project and then Beamish. It was an excellent location for access. On final day we visited Barnard Castle. We will definitely stay here again.
