Some feedback to consider.
3rooms for 6pax. And only 1 hairdryer.
They never thought that if all occupant are woman with long hair, so need total at least 2hrs for hairdryer for entire unit.
1. Hairdryer is not expensive item, each bathroom should be equip with one unit each more make sense.
2. Middle room both occupant get bedbugs. They should look into this cleanliness.
3. The washroom 6ppl only got leftover toiletpaper, and insufficient for 3days stay. They got limit to refill toilet paper even still staying in needed to use toilet paper.
4. Tv not able to get public digital broadcast, unable to watch world cup from Tv1 or 2 from the TV. TV function also not able to screencast from phone.
5. Other than that, this place is okay to stay as it has convenient store at G floor. Mercure hotel next door for breakfast."

"The hotel is right across from the lively weekend market. It's also not far from the main attractions, all within 1 km, but it's an awkward distance – a bit too far to walk comfortably, yet not really worth taking a taxi, haha. I booked a family room but got a suite instead, apparently because they were out of family rooms. The suite had an extra, temporary cot with a metal frame that was a bit saggy. The sound of flushing from upstairs was quite loud downstairs. Everything else was good. For three people, it was the best value I could find under 500."

"The location is pretty strategic. If you want a peaceful place to stay, this is it as the place is not in the middle of Georgetown. Amenities such as shower gel (smells really good & they actually sell it), shampoo, washing machine, cooking utensils, induction stove, iron, ironing board, hangers and towels are all provided to be used during our stay (NOT to be taken home). The television is an Android TV so you can watch shows from various platforms such as Netflix, YouTube, VIU and more. The elevators are fully functional and they have 3 for the whole building (it may be slow during the evening due to people going out and having a swim; plus during checkout so plan your time so that you don’t wait too long). The swimming pool is quite congested during the weekends and towels are not provided as this is not a hotel. So remember to bring your own towel, going into the elevator in wet clothes will result in a big fine per person. We got Grab e-Hailing pretty easily here. However, I need to point out that there’s too many contact numbers provided but only one number actually replies to customers. Instead of directing customers to the correct number to enquire, they chose to keep quite and ignore all messages. Even emails are only read, not replied. Please fix this attitude for a better customer experience."

"Overall, the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, with balconies offering views of both sunrise and sunset. I booked two rooms; my friend's room had a sunrise view, while mine had a sunset view. My first booking was on a weekend, and the breakfast experience wasn't great due to the large number of guests – many items ran out before they could be refilled. However, for my second stay, I chose a weekday (Monday to Friday), and the experience was much better. I booked for five consecutive days, and the hotel gave me two complimentary breakfast vouchers. The breakfast selection was quite rich, and the staff were patient and could communicate in both Mandarin and English. The rooms also had some smart features, which is quite good for the local area.
I had staff clean my room daily, and overall, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. The cleaning staff were very responsible, but perhaps the cleanliness standards didn't quite meet our personal expectations."

"24 hours check in. Very convenient for me since my work always finish late. Every level got water filter machine near the elevator. The Ipoh one also like this. I guess all Travelodge use water fikter machine instead of giving out bottled water. The breakfast cafe is small, not variety of food but enough for you to eat for the day."

"The room isn't huge, but it was perfect for two people. When I checked in, I asked for a sea-view room, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hotel having a gym and a swimming pool is a huge plus! It's super convenient with a mall next door, and it was so easy to visit all the nearby attractions and try out local food spots – everything was about a 20-minute walk away. Getting to the airport takes about 30 minutes if there's no traffic. I highly recommend this place! There are water dispensers on every floor, which is great for refilling bottles. The bed isn't huge, but it's comfortable enough to sleep on. If I come back to Penang, I'd definitely choose to stay here again."

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's within walking distance to the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, City Hall, and the waterfront. You can also walk to the tourist area's mural streets and the Peranakan Museum.
The cleanliness and service are both above average. Although the breakfast offers a good variety, the taste is just okay, but it was still the most palatable among the three hotels I stayed at this trip. They offer congee and pickled vegetables.
The hotel provides large umbrellas for guests to borrow. However, it's really not necessary as rain in Penang usually comes in short bursts, so there's no need for such a big umbrella.
The room is old, and the bathroom leaks, as shown in the picture.
I wouldn't recommend booking breakfast at any hotel in Malaysia. Breakfast at local restaurants is much cheaper and tastier. The only thing you'll need to worry about in Penang is your appetite being too small!"

sj91this hotel is good overall, but when we arrived, they told us that we didn't have a booking with them and they couldn't locate our booking and details. the room was also said to be taken, and they are waiting for a cancellation in order to get our room. There is a lot of confusion among staff. some visitors were told to leave their rooms once they have entered. we waiting 1 hr 30 min to get our room. so check in was at 4.30pm. parking was also very inconvenient, as we had to park at the basement, which was impossible to even get one if you came into the hotel late and a T&G card was also needed to get validated before leaving the hotel if we wanted a free spot. Room was very spacious and clean. the tea and coffee was hard like its never been changed.

After much thought, I still believe that a well-established five-star hotel is the most reliable choice. This Jen hotel is incredibly close to all the attractions, and you can even walk to the street art murals. There's a decent-sized shopping mall nearby, along with a supermarket and Starbucks. Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the service is still excellent. The breakfast, in particular, offers a great variety, including freshly stir-fried kway teow and freshly cooked noodle soup. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Penang!

FRMMThe room was large and comfortable, perfect for families with children under 12. The kids especially loved having the pool right outside the room, making it easy for parents to keep an eye on them. The service overall was not disappointing. The main issue, however, was the presence of Charlie ants, which could be dangerous for children.

Atlas RogueStayed at Lone Pine Hotel recently and loved my ground‑floor sea‑facing room. Super clean, comfy, and literally steps from the beach though it is fenced up to demarcate the hotel's grounds. Parking was easy, and the whole area is convenient — hawker stalls, beach bars, and convenience stores all within a short walk.
Breakfast buffet was solid too, with a nice mix of local and Western stuff. Great way to start the day.
Only complaint? The 3rd party water sports guys clutter the beachfront with equipment, and an excavator on the sand ruins the sea view. There was also an excavator parked on the beach, doing who‑knows‑what, which disrupted the otherwise serene beachfront setting.
Despite these external issues, Lone Pine itself delivers a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay. I would return — hopefully with a clearer sea view next time.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is fantastic! Right outside, there's a night market with the famous Stir-fried Kway Teow Grandpa's stall, which always has a queue. It's also super close to other attractions. They have a gym and a swimming pool. We didn't book breakfast, so we just grabbed a bite at a place right outside the hotel.

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment, facing the sea with stunning views, especially the infinity pool and ocean scenery which are perfect for photos. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the bed was very good, allowing us to truly relax.
The hotel is ideal for families with children; our little one had a great time. The pool and beach are both very convenient, and you could easily spend the whole day there without getting bored. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and tasted good.
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is an excellent choice. My only small suggestion is that the pool can get quite crowded during peak season, so I hope they can add more loungers in the future. Overall, I would recommend it to friends and would stay here again.

LiutingGreat service and a fantastic pool! The breakfast was good; I had lots of watermelon juice, and the jackfruit was already peeled, so I ate a big bowl every time. Excellent value for money, and you can have as much yogurt as you like. Sitting outside for photos was perfect. The bed, duvet, and pillows were all super comfortable, and the air conditioning was great too. There are many night markets nearby, a McDonald's, and lots of shows on the beach. The sunset was amazing!

Chua_It was a great stay. The room was spacious and clean. Free parking and the welcome drink were a nice bonus.
The only downside was that the air conditioner was a little noisy, and the shower water temperature was a bit inconsistent, sometimes hot and sometimes cold. However, the water pressure was really good.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would still recommend this hotel.

Alading-shendengOverall, it's pretty good and offers good value for money.
Transportation: You can take a taxi to the Old Town or walk for 20 minutes. The hotel's area is relatively quiet and tidy. As an aside, I struggled with the accommodation area for a long time before my trip. I'm fine with the OZO area, but if I were to go again, I personally would prefer the Gurney Bay area. The atmosphere and cleanliness are much better there. Many parts of the Old Town are too old and chaotic.
Cleanliness was satisfactory, even exceeding expectations. For service, I didn't encounter any Mandarin-speaking staff, but everyone was very friendly.
Facilities: The rooftop pool has an excellent view directly facing the sea. It was wonderful to relax there every day. The breakfast restaurant also has a good view, and while the variety isn't huge, it's sufficient. In-room facilities are standard for a business hotel. I actually found it very convenient to get water from the water dispenser on my floor.
There are two downsides: 1. The towels are very old and should be replaced; I used my own the entire time. 2. For some unknown reason, the Wi-Fi was extremely poor during my stay. My World Cup viewing corner's internet TV was almost unusable due to buffering. For tourists, poor internet is a significant issue.

Guest UserThe place it self was great, the cleanliness was very good and the service was excellent. The only downside we had was the neighbours upstairs kept making loud noises through out our stay, however credit to the agents they replied back to us promptly when we brought this up and had notified their landlord. Unfortunately this didn’t still resolve the loud noises.
The building it self is nice, the pool is clean and well maintained, however the building does have a lot of regulations in place which we thought was quite excessive. Other than these minor issues we had a great time and the apartment is well kept.
