Hey all this is in the perfect location (on top of a hill, of course) but close to the Bento train station. Big shout out to 2 employees there, Bruno and Andre. If you have the opportunity to interact with them ,do it. Andre was helpful with back ground on Portugal and Porto and Bruno really helped plan 6 hours in Porto. We hit most of it thanks to his help and a map. B & S

Perfect location to explore Porto as it's close to the action on both sides of the river AND, this is a GREAT TIP, you can easily cross the bridge at the top or bottom and not have to walk the long way up/down on the streets because you can use the hotel's elevator! Another tip / warning – we drove here and used maps on our iPhone and the pin drop is off. I think Google Maps might be more accurate. There is onsite parking and you have in/out access yourself without having to use Valet. I'd also add the breakfast was outstanding, the staff was super accommodating, the bed was comfortable, and there was great water pressure in the shower. I'd recommend this to anyone traveling to Porto!

Funny, on my way to the hotel, I passed a Catalonia Hotel whochbwas down the block. I almost had 2nd thoughts of staying at Premium not knowing what to expect. Although I only stayed for 1 night, it was a super stay. My friend and I arrived early and had the warmest greeting from the front desk. Cleiton R and Carolina B. They had such great smiles we instantly felt at home. Although the room was not ready since it was only 11am, we asked to store our luggage and they did without hesitation. Cleiton, since he knew it was our 1st time in Porto, took out a map and circled many places for us possibly to visit. We actually went to many of the places he had circled. We came back after 2pm because we purchased a few items and since we had a tour beginning at 3pm. When we came back Carolina informed us our room was ready. The room was decently spacious and modern. The bathroom was really nice. We freshened up quickly and both Cleiton and Carolina were there and let us know of the happy hour the hotel has between 4 and 6pm. Unfortunately we were not going to be back in tume, but they also let us know about the rooftop. We came back from our Port Wine excursion and we stopped at the rooftop. It was empty at the tune but met a young Argentinian man who he and I clicked right away. Ended up speaking to him for quite a few mins. He gave us restaurant suggestions in the area and we went to one of them and it went perfectly. The next day, as we checked out, we saw Cleiton and Carolina again and they expedited our check out flawlessly. I do have to mention the 2 people on the bight shift were also very nice!! We also got a bar of chocolate as a goodbye present. I rarely give out 5 stars, but everything worked out so well, I had to give one to Premium. I would happily stay at a Premium Hotel again!!!

I had a very pleasant stay in Porto Royal Bridges Hotel. The hotel is very close to Sao Bento train station, which is the city's centre, you can easily walk to any attractions from there. My hotel room was very new and clean, so 5/5 cleanliness score. The service was good. Although I accidentally booked a twin room, they helped me to convert my room into a double room when I requested it. Also, they provided room service very quickly. There was a coffee machine in my room, which was very great. Also, they provided us with 1L of free water every day. They provide a wide range of amenities, so you should be able to find anything you can expect from a hotel.

The hotel is very clean, great location, near Trindade station. Also close to some of Porto’s main attractions, but very quiet at night. They provide toiletries, Nespresso coffee machine with some complimentary pods. The bed was super comfortable and air conditioner functions well, or if you prefer you can open window or balcony door. The breakfast was full of options both savoury and sweet. The best of all is the staff. Amazing friendly and super helpful people. We would like to mentioned specially Beatriz and Joao that helped us in the middle of the night to find a place for a dental emergency. From contacting them to getting us a taxi, giving directions, this team is exceptional. If we come back to Porto, there is where we will be staying.”

This hotel was great! The location is fantastic—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. The breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of delicious options to choose from every morning. While the rooms were a bit on the smaller side, they were cozy and comfortable. The staff was very helpful, especially in directing us to the Car Park nearby. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing in between sightseeing. Highly recommend for a comfortable and convenient stay in Porto! tips: Before you have to lug your belongings for several city blocks, be sure you have the right location. There's another hotel in Porto with a very similar name. We went there first and they said it happens all the time. Also, if you're coming by car, there is no parking right outside the hotel as it is in an alley. Use the D. João I Parking Car Park/Garage (on the corner) as parking on Porto streets is not advised by hotel staff. The elevator from the garage will bring you right up to the square across the street making it very convenient. Price is 20 Euros a day.

Stayed here for 7 nights and was in 3 different rooms. Good News: Staff is great, especially Joanna and Marina (?) at front desk, and Paulo (?) and other bellman Overall decor is dated and needs refurbishing. Comments re: rooms… Room 234: Larger and very quiet with robe/slippers. Headboard is torn. Bathroom door in the way of toilet & bidet; need to close door to access. … Rm 232: Corner Suite. Beautiful but TOO NOISY. Despite wearing earplugs, closing double-paned windows + lowering electronic blackout shades outside bedroom window, still had trouble sleeping due to street noise (trucks, motorcycles, etc). Noise through evening and early morning hours when bins picked up. Windows need another layer to soundproof… Room 411: New side of hotel, VERY small room; no slippers/robe offered, better layout of bathroom. No view but very quiet. Bad news: For the amount charged per room (almost €200/night or more) + standard hotel tries to maintain, complimentary coffee and water should be available every day of stay, not just day #1. Beautiful view and good food from rooftop bar but VERY SLOW service. Tips: Location is by river so about 1-2 miles from city center which is uphill from hotel. Other option is to use Uber. Tram stop and supermarket conveniently located within 1-2 blocks of hotel. Can take tram toward Dom Luis Bridge to check out restaurants with great river views: Bacalhau (very small and don’t take reservations) or Vinhas d’Alho restaurant next door, takes reservations and has more outdoor seats. Overall: Wonderful, helpful and accommodating staff in lovely location but you could find better value other places, like the many ”AL” accommodations (private apartments similar to Airbnb).

The hotel is centrally located and the rooms are very clean. The staff was very friendly, I would definitely recommend it!

This was a fabulous place to start our trip in Portugal. Our apartment was well appointed and had a magnificent view over the river. It couldn’t have been in a more central place to explore the sights of Porto on foot. There was lots of activity below by the river but all noise stopped at 10pm sharp. The included breakfast had a good selection of food. Our only suggested improvement would be that it starts a little earlier given people often go on day trips. (It starts at 8am.) having said this, they gave us a takeaway breakfast one morning when we had an early start. The staff at the counter were super friendly and helpful.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Rebello. The Rebello is the type of hotel that other hotels should send their staff to visit and learn - they just have it so right. It's rare for us to go to a European city and dine in the hotel restaurant but we actually ate on two evenings - once on the rooftop and once in the Pot and Pan. Both were lovely and the service in the restaurant was exceptional. Its disappointing to see it wasn't that busy on any of the evenings- its really a gem that you need to dine in when in porto. All of the staff we encountered were fantastic. Really helpful and the whatsapp messaging service is a lovely touch. The hotel is newly opened so I hope they keep up the same levels of cleanliness and service. It's a little bit out of the centre but that didn't bother us at all, we walked in during the day and got an uber back in the evenings. Uber in Porto is very good value. We sadly didn't use the spa or pool but we will 100% return to Porto for a weekend break, just to stay at the Rebello!

Booked this hotel directly via the ITG website . Yes its in Vila de Gaia -on the other side of the river from Porto old town -but public transport is available close by and Uber rides are around 4 Euros .....or hotel can call a taxi for you . The hotel is host to some airline personnel ,tour groups .....and the odd football team (Benfica on this occasion ) turns up pre match . On this side of the river you are close to El Corte Ingles department store and Shopping Gaia shopping centre if retail therapy is your thing ....and there are some individual shops /supermarkets /restaurants /cafes close by . A few weeks before we were due to travel my husband broke his collar bone . I e -mailed the hotel to ask if we could have a room with a walk in shower just to make it a bit easier . Got a very quick reply from the hotel saying that they could certainly do that ......so not only did we have a room with a walk in shower ,we had a suite . It was just so spacious & comfortable and made our stay even more enjoyable . I cannot praise the staff in this hotel enough -reception , bar ,restaurants, housekeeping -all so helpful and friendly during our stay. Reception staff were so helpful in providing Information ,maps and directions and giving restaurant recommendations . The hotel was spotless and well maintained and our room was serviced daily. There was an excellent choice at breakfast -served between 7AM _10-30 . We had lunch /dinner in the hotel bar /restaurant a couple of times during our stay -mainly for convenience as we didn't have the best of weather during our stay and we enjoyed a ”nightcap ” in the hotel bar each evening . I didn't use the spa or gym /fitness facility on this occasion so can't really comment but note other reviews are positive . When planning our trip we did consider a few different hotels on the Porto side as well as some apartments but kept coming back to this hotel based on price & reviews -for us on this occasion we deffinately made the right choice and would stay here again .

We booked on the Accor site, chose a standard room with early check-in and late check-out. Advance information by e-mail was good, check-in and check-out was super easy. The breakfast was good with a large choice. We also had dinner at the hotel which was not a gourmet meal - but adequate. The room on the second floor was clean, quiet - but hot and stuffy (even though we did what we could to get it cooler and fresher). The location is next to a shopping centre with a large supermarket (Auchan) and theother type of stores you find in such centres. We only spent one night - but used the day to visit World of Wine close by. Went by Bolt back and forth. We chose this hotel for a stay after a river cruise due to the fact that they had early check-in and late check-out.

This hotel was located in Gaia just outside of Porto. I didn't realize that it was not in Porto but it turned out to be a blessing. The hotel was quiet, spacious and very easy to travel every day by uber to Porto. We visited during the Euro soccer world cup and watched one of the games in the large bar diner area. The hotel was comfortable enough and the beds too. We have requested a fully stocked kitchen since we planned to cook some meals. However the crockery and cutlery were not very good to use. They were very dated and we were not given any sharp knives, paper towels, dish soap or sponge to clean up. So we could barely cook. Strange how the refrigerator was located in the lounge instead of the kitchen area. Regardless, our stay was enjoyable.

Sophia was at the hotel reception when we checked In. she welcomed us with a big smile and explained effectively the hotel rules. when we came to the room we asked for 2 single blankets for the bed instead the big one. No problem answered Sophia in the reception, and after 2 minutes she came with the blankets, she took the big one, and she herself arranged the blankets in the bad. Later, the bathroom was flooded with water by mistake. We called the reception to Sophia, she came immediately to see, and after 2 minutes she returned with tool and dried the bathroom. We were at the hotel for 3 nights and every time we passed near the reception Sophia was there interested our wellbeing with her big smile. But if you think you've seen everything of Sophia you're wrong . just before we had to do checkout , we got a massage from the airline that out flight back home delayed for tomorrow. sophia told us that the hotel is fully booked , but she took out problem into her own hands and found us another hotel 200 meters away, and then, without asking us, she took in her hands our 2 suitcases, walked with it to the new hotel and we are after her. when we got there we found there is no elevatore and the reception was on the second floor. Sophia raised in her own hands our 2 suitcases upstairs to the reception!!! We are around the age of 70. Sophia is a valuable asset to the hotel. Thank you again Sophia, you are magnificent and as I told you, you have a very very big heart. doron.

Courrier que je leur ai envoyé. Je n'ai pas reçu de réponses donc je publie. Pour info nous avons payé 163€ Bonjour Monsieur xxxx Je vous écris puisque personne ne réponds a l'hôtel quand on appel! Nous sommes allés dormir chez vous hier soir. Nous avions la chambre 135. Je suis TRES INSATISFAITE de votre établissement.  Je vais vous expliquer pourquoi. nous sommes arrivés à 16h45. Nous avons fait plus d'une heure pour arriver au comptoir des réservations tellement il y avait du monde et une personne pour accueillir. La charmante jeune femme était toute seule, confuse car nous avions réservé une chambre pour 3 personnes et un bébé, vous nous aviez attribué une chambre de 2. De plus, la chambre n'était pas prête. Elle nous a demandé d'attendre encore une demi heure. Pour information nous n'étions pas les seuls dans cette situation. Nous sommes allés au bar. Nous avons dû chercher un serveur. Une fois les jeunes hommes sur place, nous leur avons parlé du problème. Il faisait froid. Tout était ouvert. A plus de 18h00 nous avons demandé à parler à la direction. Vous n'étiez pas là. Je me suis énervée car nous avions une réservation le soir 19h30, nous devions nous préparer, j'avais un bébé de 3 mois qui avait froid et qui commençait à pleurer. Mon fils de 13 ans était lui aussi fatigué. Rien n'allait. Nous sommes entrés dans la chambre a 19h15. J'ai pris une douche, il y avait de l'eau de partout dans la salle de bain au sol. L'eau chaude n'arrivait pas au mitigeur du lavabo. Nous nous sommes changés sans nous doucher afin de partir au plus vite. Quand nous sommes revenus, nous avons pu constater que la chambre ne fermait pas. Nous avons donc dormi au rez de chaussée la porte ouverte. La patère de la salle de bain ce matin était au sol puisqu'elle a été fixée au silicone.  Nous avons redemandé ce matin a vous parler. Vous n'étiez toujours pas là.  Je trouve très dommage d'avoir un si bel établissement et d'avoir une gestion si calamiteuse.  Votre serveur nous a gentiment offert le verre de bière de mon mari hier.  Mais trouvez vous normal que nous ne puissions parler à personne? Que votre personnel soit obligé de sourire et d'entendre toutes les lamentations des clients. Je ne suis pas la seule mécontente. C'est la première fois de ma vie que je viens a écrire pour me plaindre. 

Porto has always been rated highly so was a little concerned that the Novotel was on the other side of the Douro River. Quickly dismissed on arrival when we were greeted at reception by Aderito Diaspora. A most charming man who made every one signing in to the hotel feel very special - being multilingual helps. Free with advice on what to see, what and where to eat and the best places for shopping. A trip into Porto was a little as €4 and never more than €10 and this included a ride to beautiful shopping complex of El Conte Ingles. So leaving the hustle and bustle of Oporto to the calm of Afurada was a plus. The suggestion to walk down to the quaint fishing village of San Pedro with an Uber to take us back was greatly appreciated as we were able to see the Uber coming right up to our restaurant table. All hotels should have an Aderito Diaspora.

I recently stayed in Hotel Black Tulip. On the first morning I noticed that there weren't electrical points for using a shaver available in the bathroom . I reported this to the young man on reception-thinking this will take some time to fix/put right. Within minutes a repair man was knocking on the door. He set about replacing the unit on the wall and enabled the use of the electrical points. I was very impressed. Staff on reception were very helplful.

We stayed for 3 nights and was amazed by the quality of the apartment. The apartment was perfect and offered lovely views and is only minutes away from the Luís I Bridge and many restaurants. We loved the egg chairs and enjoyed relaxing in them whilst listening to the street performers close by. The breakfast is also great and guests get 10% disc in the cafe. Overall a very nice stay.

A clean, modern and friendly hotel in a great location, great breakfast too! I will book again, for visits as my daughter lives in Porto. It was nice and quiet when we stayed and great for escaping the hustle and bustle of Porto. The manager also regularly checked in with us as to how our stay was.

The hotel is very close to the train station and a few minutes walk away. Since I brought my child, I made up some fees at the front desk and upgraded to a family room (the child has a separate single bed). The room is very large, there are two small balconies, the facilities are very new, clean, the service is very good, check-in and check-out are very fast. A little distance from the attraction, but walking all the way to see, will not feel very tired.

The whole city is relatively old, and the modern hotel is more prominent. It is relatively close to the train station, and it takes 12 minutes to walk. There are not many restaurants around, and there is a pizzeria next to it that tastes good. Overall, Portugal has the lowest consumption in Western Europe.

Great place, would like to return for sure, very friendly and helpful staff, silent space, with all things that could be needed. Cafe, swimming pool, garden, work space and library and private parking.

It's a hotel with a sense of design and taste. It's just a little far away from many attractions on foot, but it's comfortable enough. It has its own free parking lot, so it's very convenient to drive by car. The rooms are also very good and the facilities are complete. The hotel's service is also very good. The reception staff are very enthusiastic and answer all questions. All in all, this hotel is very cost-effective and highly recommended.

we where 20 friends that stayed here for 5 nights what a wonderful hotel and the staff is just amazing. Everyone went out of their way to help us to prepare for us roof top party one evening and a buffet dinner down stairs in the reception/ breakfast area the last evening in Porto. The rooms are fantastic on the small side but you have everything you need , its chick and modern and nice for a city break. The bar in the roof top is just amazing just dial 001 and you get what you want. The bar downstairs amazing . Its easy to go everywhere around Porto from this hotel. What make this hotel is again the staff I dont name names because they are all wonderful and so happy to work there. The breakfast is nice and you get all what you need . You can tell that the staff who work there make this hotel happy. Happy Staff - Happy hotel. Nothing bad to say! We opted for the one bedroom pool view apartment and it was lovely, spacious and well equipped! The room and bathroom was clean with a lovely waterfall type shower. Bed did the job for 3 nights. Pool was clean and non heated as expected from reading previous reviews. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again!

The location of the hotel is just above the bus terminal in Porto. It is an old town. The hotel room can also have a good breakfast. There is a gym and a swimming pool upstairs. Although it is very small, you can use Uber for a cheaper trip. There is a supermarket on the opposite side of the road. ,very convenient.
