Jaz Soma Beach

Soma Bay
The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.
Zya Regina Resort and Aqua Park Hurghada
3.5/546 Reviews
The Regina is a basic all inclusive hotel right in the centre of Hurghada. Easy walking distance to the Marina and bars, restaurants etc are right outside the front door. Majority of staff are friendly, tips get you better service (as in most places in Egypt). Samir who cleaned our bungalow was absolutely fantastic, every day he left something else in our room that helped us enjoy our stay. From a kettle (not typical to get in Egypt all inclusive) to hotel embroidered slippers and a wonderful smile every single day, I hope the management cherish him as he is simply brilliant. The bungalow was spacious enough but the shower was tiny, beds comfy, plenty of clean towels too. The food is basic and not to the standard I’ve had in other hotels in Hurghada but there was always something to have. The beer is poured in to small glasses from a bottle and all the spirits are local equivalents. If like me you need coffee early morning (before 7) then you’ll have to pay for it. They have a machine in a little cafe area and at the pool/beach bars but machine coffee is not available whilst breakfast is being served. Instead it’s provided in a huge urn and not very palatable. If you arrive before 3pm you’re not entitled to have lunch or dinner after 12 o’clock check out on your last day…they cut your band off when you check out. If you check in after 3pm then you can get a voucher from reception which allows you to have lunch. I’ve never had this at any other hotel in Egypt (this was my 18th visit) and adds to the basic feel of the hotel. If you’re looking for a cheap hotel to enjoy the ever present sunshine then the Regina could be for you.

Al Mamsha El Seyahi
If I can rate this hotel more than 5 stars, I will do so. Those people are hospitality gurus, the way they treated me and my family made us all overwhelmingly happy. Every single detail was taken into consideration and exceeded my expectations. -Once in the restaurant my son was hesitant and in seconds the chef made him a special order that suits his taste. -Snacks and pizzas are so yummy. -The hotel is nice and cozy. -The views are relaxing. -Super clean Rooms, Pools and restaurants. -The main restaurant served seafood several times. However, It was never smelly and this is a plus. -Access was available to Jaz Casa Del Mar's lovely sandy beach. Words won't express my feelings when the hotel sent me a complimentary birthday cake on my birthday and another compliment was sent the next day (fruit platter, nuts and maccarons😋😋) Special thanks to reception team members (Mohamed for his close follow up on any issue, Ibrahim for his complement and Philopater for receiving us). Special Thanks to the pool bar men (Abd El Salam and Mina) they served delicious coctails 😉👌 -Special thanks to Ali Barakat in the Snacks bar -Special thanks to Ali & Hamdoun in the main restaurant. -Special thanks to Mohamed from the room service team. -Special thanks to Fares at the beach. -Special thanks to Sentido's team for making our vacation an unforgettable one. Will be back again soon ISA All the best...

Al Mamsha El Seyahi
I recently stayed in the Sunrise Alma Bay for 8 days and the hotel atmosphere was just great. The hotel staff were so helpful. My room cleaner Ibrahim was so accommodating, friendly and efficient...and an expert in towel art! Emad at the pool bar was so welcoming and the service was excellent. Hamdy and Mohammed in the towel station/by the beach were friendly faces every morning and so helpful. Anastasia in Guest Relations came around to our table every breakfast and was able to action any little requests we had. She was very impressive with her notebook and actioning things so quickly. And lastly, when I asked to extend my room for a few hours (and very reasonable additional cost) on my last day, the Hotel Manager arranged for me to be moved to a suite on the seafront and the concierge Mahmoud was so kind in helping with my luggage and room change. I have been visiting Egypt for 10 years now and this stay has been a highlight for me because of the helpfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff, the delicious food, the pool (one of the best I have seen), and the beach front with pier and lagoona just make it the perfect location. The added bonus is that it is only about 20 mins from Hurghada airport. I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, singles and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you. Ciara
Sunny Days El Palacio Resort & Spa

The hotel has 4 stars. And in the standards of Egypt it deserves it. It's fairly clean. The food in the restaurant is well presented and tasty. The breakfast could be more varied but there is plenty to eat. The hotel has such a medieval style, so despite the fact that it is already old, small damaged furniture, doors and the like fit into the atmosphere. Imaginative. Lots of comfortable sun loungers. Lots of sea. Few pools. There is a piece of the reef. The vendors on the site are not intrusive. I missed coffee and tea in the restaurant during lunch and dinner. Generally, you can safely come. Although you can see some savings due to the situation in the world. And ... and renovations are underway. So they will improve.
Bel Air Azur Resort (Adults Only)

✅I came to Hurghada because only Hurghada has an overnight bus to Alexandria, so I just came and lay down first~ 🌊I booked a standard room with a swimming pool. I was originally worried that I would be assigned to the balcony on the first floor because the swimming pool would not be very private. When I went there, I found that the rooms on the first floor were the most popular. There is no elevator in the hotel, so you can ask the staff to help you carry your luggage. There are 1 bottle of Coke, 1 bottle of Sprite, and 2 bottles of 1.5L water in the room. The decoration is like the last century. The network covers the lobby and swimming pool, but it is a little slow in the room. 👨👨👧👧The guests are basically foreign grandparents who live there. Asian faces are very rare. We went to sit at the snack bar by the swimming pool and received everyone's attention. The staff were very enthusiastic and would say hello in Chinese when they saw us. There was an uncle on the beach who took the initiative to chat with us. At noon, we ate by the pool and took photos of the grilled chicken. The grilled chicken master lifted up the grilled chicken skewers. Pose for me~ 🎭There are performances in the upstairs restaurant at 8:30 pm and in the theater at 9:15 pm every night. The night I stayed there was a light and shadow show and an African brother performing acrobatics. At first, I thought the light and shadow show was an old-fashioned show with lights and music, but I didn’t expect the little brother. Playing with lights and shadows is particularly fancy. The African brother's acrobatic performance is also of a very high level. The neck-flipping and waist-flipping performance was so shocking that I couldn't bear to watch it. 🐠If you are too lazy to swim or go to the sea, just stroll on the beach. The Red Sea is beautiful and you can see small fish with the naked eye on the beach. I couldn't sleep even if I wanted to lie down all day and night. When I checked in, I was given a bracelet and when I saw it, I could eat and drink for free. After checking out, I could use the bracelet without recycling it. The grilled pigeon, grilled chicken and grilled fish in the restaurant were delicious. , the snack bar’s pies are also good. We exclaimed that this hotel with more than 300 yuan per person including three meals was a great deal. 🎁Shopping: Diagonally across from the resort is Cleopatra, a shopping mall with clearly marked prices. The top floor overlooking the resort is surprising, but the price is not the best for reference. The short-sleeved dress with Egyptian patterns is 240 EBs, the printed papyrus painting is 41 EBs, and the essence is 4 EBs-9 EBs/g, starting at 50g. The bottle is ugly, but you can buy a small essence bottle for 75 EBs and fill it back. There is also a row of souvenir shops nearby. Now that I think about it, if I have a reference price and go shopping, I might be surprised. Anyway, there is not much business in those shops during the day. 🐟Eat and drink nearby Almustafa Fish: Although the resort can provide all-inclusive meals, I still want to experience the local restaurant. There are many foreign tourists. The seafood soup is sufficient but too salty, the mixed grill is not bad, and the squid is delicious. 🚖Take a taxi: It’s only 2-3km to the Go Bus station. Uber shows 25 Egyptian pounds, but the driver will increase the price to 50 Egyptian pounds.

Villages Road
The room was so spacious, I was a solo traveler, but the room was big enough for 4 people. The room had its own walk in closet, and the bathroom was great. Shower space was huge, also had a spot to sit/ lie down whilst showering. There was also a nice balcony overseeing the resort. The rooms were cleaned everyday, I had a guy named Sabary cleaning my room, who is a top bloke, extremely hard working, and he could speak 4 languages (Arabic, English, Russian and German). He tried his absolute best to keep the rooms clean, and to ensure you were enjoying yourself. The food was great, there was a huge variety, the aqua park and pools were awesome. Everything about this resort was just brilliant.

Instagram-style Internet celebrity hotel. The breakfast is very good. The hotel is not big. It is suitable for young people. There are few such clean hotels in Egypt. However, the transportation is a bit inconvenient. There is a taxi service at the front desk.

Le Pacha Resort

Travelled with my partner and my dad who’s 90, we’ve stayed at the majority of the beach hotels in the town centre which have better reviews, risking it a bit with the reviews for here. How wrong we were, it’s brilliant. Yes the rooms are dated but clean and everything serves its purpose we’re in 1407 ground floor front and back door private patio veiw of the pool and manicured gardens and palm trees, air con works perfectly mini fridge, if you want to stock it yourself. Fill your water bottles in reception it won’t kill you. The food is amazing always hot and plentiful different choices each day including home made chips that were the best, the usual chicken beef or fish. And something from the bbq. The beach has a bar a snack bar, loads of sun beds. Bit rocky to get in but floated over them. Reception made sure us English had a kettle to make a brew, brought our own Yorkshire tea bags . It’s a nice size, especially for my dad everything in close proximity beach 2 mins restaurant 2 mins pool 30 seconds, dining room is on the first floor and no lifts at all. We managed no problem. The pools and gardens are well maintained it’s a beautiful little resort, and no crazy music blaring out all day. You can actually relax. We’re not for the animation, however we were invited, and they did have a show each evening again not for us. We did take our own cups for beers on an evening shame to waste so much plastic each time you get a drink. And saves getting up every ten minutes, and the staff don’t mind. In the town centre so all the hustle and bustle on your doorstep, brilliant for all your handbags and T shirts. The marina 15 minutes walk away just turn right out of reception. Very few English again no problem to us, but you’re missing a bargain. Give Le Pacha a try absolutely worth every penny.
