Family-friendly Hotels in Zhejiang, China

We recently stayed at Hotel Haoyi and were impressed by its fantastic location. It's situated in an area full of small shops and convenience stores like Lawson, along with multiple coffee shops and small restaurants where you can grab an early, healthy sandwich if you don’t feel like the Chinese breakfast. We booked the Premier Queen Room, which came with a comfortable queen-size bed and a window. While the room was clean, it was quite small. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the highlights was the reception area, where they offer a coffee machine and a water dispenser with adjustable temperature settings. The breakfast is very affordable at ¥25, but it only offers Chinese cuisine. The hotel itself is stylish and within walking distance to Ding'an Metro Station (Line 1) and the West Lake scenic area, making it perfect for exploring the city. Overall, a pleasant stay with excellent convenience.

We have been assigned to Room 67 under Mo Mo De Jia (默默的家)! How lucky to have such a helpful and kind owner and we truly felt the hospitality! We arrived at WuZhen at 1am (due to flight delay and long journey) and our owner still helped us with luggages in her sleepwear (we felt so sorry). Mrs owner always check on us and we felt like home. They prepared us delicious wholesome breakfast and also helped us in booking the following day's Morning Tea 早茶客 session. All the people there were so kind and one of my best experiences in China is the one in Wuzhen. The ancient town is so beautiful, enchanting and peaceful with kind people around us. Nice riverside view from our room too! Oh ya, the hair dryer in our room was awesome!

Hotel is very well located to the West Lake. Approx 15 mins walk. It is close to the night market and also a number of food halls. There is a coffee shop right downstairs on the right hand side of the hotel which makes great coffee. There is also 7/11 shop. Metro is also downstairs less than a min walk away. First impression checking in wasn’t great - English on checking in was difficult. Probably due to slight language barrier felt not as warmly welcomed as other hotels. I expect hotels that receive foreigners should have basic level check in. They also were very particular on how who should go into each of the three rooms but I said it we will sort this out between us. After that it was fine we went to our rooms. Rooms are quite outdated and could do with a bit of an upgrade especially with handles coming loose. Rooms come with bath robes, tooth brush, toothpaste, combs, Ted Baker toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) and slippers. They also provide water bottles daily and there are ones you can take free as you head out towards the lift which is a nice touch. The hotel housekeeping staff were the best despite language barrier they were very polite, courteous and professional. Very helpful as well. There was a housekeeping lady who came to help us with wifi as we did not have a China mobile number and she also knew we had three rooms booked. She helped with two of the rooms and asked if the other room needed help but they didn’t. There isn’t much of a place where guest can relax as they come back to the hotel. There is a small space on the left hand side as you enter the hotel which has a football table, toy dispenser machines, limited seating area. For anyone who wants good location to West Lake I would say this is it. However I think there are better hotels out there. Closeness to food and restaurants is a bonus. Rooms are clean but could do with an upgrade. It’s weird to have a window in the shower room that is directly onto the room as doesn’t give much privacy if all lights on. Overall 8/10

Excellent hotel to book if you are travelling late. Our flight from Zhengzhou got delayed and ended up reaching Hangzhou at 2am. It was a 10 minutes walk from T3 to T4 and the hotel is very comfortable. The front door was not sound proof hence could hear people talking outside. The staff was good and spoke good English. The breakfast was very good having continental options.

Big, clean rooms with full amenities. Curteous staff. Our room was in Building 2 and the lobby felt old in line with the look of the entire water town. The room, however, was modern, big, clean with full amenities. The bed and pillow was even adjustable for the firmness. The restaurant and lobby of the building where we had breakfast was 5 star quality. The breakfast buffet spread was excellent. Could have also skipped this breakfast for the experience at the morning market. Very enjoyable stay at the hotel. Only 1 thing, it is not worth to pay for the balcony room on the top floor as it opens to a garden and not the river (no view). It may be better to take a normal room on the ground floor by the river. Also have to take own luggage up the stair case if on top floor. Otherwise, excellent.

Good walking distance and Great location to touristy visits example west lake, a lot of restaurants, meals and cafe. The room is surprisingly very clean and modern, looks newly renovated . Well furnished with Dyson hair dryer .. so convenient!!! The mattress is good. Room view is not great , facing old buildings. Slow check in which something can be improved

My partner and I enjoyed staying in Elong Hotel. Though it is one of the simplest room in the hotel, it came with a makeup area with a Dyson hair dryer (almost with all the hair accessories), comfortable sofa, super high technology lights and curtain system. I also liked their free self service laundry area, which you can keep track of the time using the room’s tv. The location is also very ideal, just right outside the metro station I truly enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Will come back to stay again in this hotel when i come back go Hangzhou 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great hotel with a large room. Location is about 10mins walk from the nearest station to the hotel. However, it is located near many local food stores. The food stores are the best for an early morning breakfast! Helpful staff. Recommend!

The service was very good. The hotel front desk helped me buy urgently needed supplies in **. The washing machine and dryer in the laundry room were also very useful, just in time. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot, and the smart toilet was also very comfortable. Very good experience.

A very picturesque view out of our room. Hotel staff have been exceptionally attentive. From the second they notice you were heading towards the front entrance, one guy held the door opened while another helped to take our luggages in. The 360 rotating restaurant was definitely the highlight of our stay! The breakfast buffet was interesting and full of options. We loved every part of our stay at the Friendship Hotel Hangzhou. Everything came with a little personal touch. Location is perfect. Highly recommended! Hangzhou was one of the most scenic places we’d visited in China. The West Lake presented a different kind of beautiful at night. You must try the boat ride across the lake! You will not be disappointed!

The front desk receptionist 小祝 is very helpful and responsive. Appreciate for their fast response. We stayed for 2 nights, and the first night, we noticed that there are a stain on the pillow. Next day morning, we informed the receptionist for helping us to let the cleaner to change the pillow case and bed sheets as well. Sadly, when we went back the hotel, the bed sheets are tidy up but just the stain were still there. Meaning that they didn't helped us change the pillow case and bed sheets. We also noticed there were some smoking smells in the toilet as well. Others were fine. Thanks 小祝.

The room was comfortable and spacious. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. After adding them on WeChat, could ask them for recommendations of the desserts and food as we explore the area. They gave me wonderful suggestions and we enjoyed our dinner tasting local delicacies. The area is about 20 mins walk to west lake. Went walking around the lake in the early morning and enjoyed my walk there. Nearest mall is Kerry which is about 2 mins away. We didn’t get to take the train as we were there for just a night, plus we had big luggages with us. When we checked out of the hotel, our kids also received a cute toy. Thank you 小张 for making our Hangzhou trip a wonderful one 😍

Beautifully decorated and spotless The Inn is just 1 minutes walk from the Wuzhen West No2 entrance. The entire property, including the sitting area, breakfast room, and the room we stayed in were spotlessly clean. The Owner was very friendly and helpful. We were able to check in around noon as we arrived early. Our room faced the Main Street in front of the Inn but it wasn’t noisy. The room had good AC, and even electric mosquito repellent for those who want to ensure that mosquitoes are not around. ( there wasn’t any in our room). The water pressure was good, and the toilet was well designed and maintained. Our mattress was placed on a low platform. It was ok for us to get up, but may be challenging for those with weak knees or legs. Bedsheets were clean and crisp. The room didn’t have any smell or felt stuffy. We bought the breakfast during check in for ¥20 pp, it was a great value as the good was plentiful and delicious. ( the other restaurants around the block all served traditional Chinese breakfast and seemed a bit heavy for us. Absolutely joy to stay at Eryou , and we highly recommend this place.

Anyway, the femal receptionist at the service customer area near the ticket box and the girl who is in charge of our check-in should be more professional by at least smiling at us when we need help. They were just so annoying. Just one thing that made our trip less intersting. Other things were perfect.

Most centric hotel in the area. Extremely big and with beautiful traditional Chinese decoration. Outside pool was not open and service in English was difficult. But definitely worth the stay.

Had the pleasure of staying in Wuzhen Zeilin viewing Pavilion boutique Hotel for one night. Upon arrival, the boss was very friendly and gave us local tips for around the Wuzhen area and future travel advice around Jiangsu. The hotel is just a short walking distance to the main Wuzhen Xizha tourist area. The room provided was very clean and spacious, with a large shower. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast downstairs for an affordable cost. The boss also provided a driver for us to travel to Suzhou. Highly recommended and would book again if we ever visit Wuzhen! 👍

However, during the breakfast time, we have experienced a little problem at beginning but was handled appropriately afterwards by Mr. Li, the dining hall manager. He acted promptly on the problem and we were convinced by his sincerity! The breakfast was top notch in terms of selections and quality: from the variety of cheeses to the quality of the egg station, nothing disappointed us! Keep in mind that we have traveled the world and have stayed in some of the best hotels. This hotel surely became one of our favourites! In addition, Mr. Zhang, the reception manager is super helpful as well. He is truly a professional - being curtious and able to identify customer's needs in the mean time. Mr. Zhang delivered a 5-star service during our stay! In all, we had a blast 2-day stay in this great venue! Highly recommended!

This hotel seems new. Everything is clean and tidy. The location is convenient and close to many delicious restaurants. Highly recommend if you travel with your friends and think of a quite place to sleep, this is for you.

The hotel was great and the room was huge. Booked a room with balcony and it faces the hotel's pond full of lotus plant. Room was quiet and although it's at the end of Wuzheng, with the complimentary transfers, that is not an issue at all Hotel room was a bit old and outdated but it is comfortable and I've everything I need.

My boyfriend and I both love this homestay. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Even though their rooms are near the road, but their windows are very insulated so the room is very quiet. The owners extra amount to help us whenever we need help or we ask a question they really take good care of us. The towels are exceptionally clean when we are staying there. We will recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a pleasant day in Wu Zhen.
