Gaozhuang/Starlight Night Market
I was on a business trip and booked it with the attitude of giving it a try. I didn't expect the hotel's service to be very good. The hotel is located next to the Peacock Tower, so it's very convenient to take a taxi. The hotel's laundry room and gym are open all day, and there is a swimming pool and sky garden on the roof. There is also a coffee machine in the room, so you can drink coffee when you are tired. The breakfast was also very rich, and they thoughtfully gave me mouthwash. I will come to their home next time I am on a business trip.

The environment is great, and the service is OK, especially for coffee lovers. It's so cool to try all kinds of coffee beans by hand every day. The room is also very large, and the scenery is also good, but the bathroom and toilet are all transparent glass, which is really embarrassing... And the hygiene is also average, there is dust in many places, and there are stubborn stains on the toilet... It's really a shortcoming that ordinary B&Bs should not have. I hope it can be improved to live up to such a good environment... If you bring children, it is recommended to stay in a pool room or a mountain view room, which is convenient for various services in the main building and it is also convenient to get things from the car. There are fewer varieties of buffets, but it's okay considering the price is not expensive. The activities of picking coffee beans, catching fish and riding horses are simple but also very interesting. The last reminder is that it takes about 1 hour to go in and out of the winding mountain road. If you bring children and the elderly, remember to take motion sickness medicine half an hour in advance, otherwise you may not be able to bear it...

Gaozhuang/Starlight Night Market
There is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.

All i can say this hotel is very perfect stay for our Yunnan trip! This hotel truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by its cleanliness and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by the staff. The service is nothing short of excellent—they even offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off to the train station, which made our journey so much easier. The hotel provides everything you need for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The room is spacious, with a big TV screen and a cozy sofa for relaxation. The thoughtful amenities include a heated floor and bed, which were perfect for the cold weather. Even the toilet seat has a heater and a bidet, making it incredibly convenient and comfortable. They also provide additional oxygen in the room—a great touch, especially for those who might feel the effects of high altitude. The views from the hotel are absolutely breathtaking! Imagine waking up to stunning mountain scenery, lush green grasslands, and sheep grazing peacefully—it’s like a dream come true. To make our stay even more special, they upgraded our room for free to one with a luxurious bathtub! For Muslim travelers, this hotel is incredibly accommodating—they provided us with a delicious vegetarian breakfast, so we felt completely at ease. However, please be mindful when sitting on the sofas as their adorable, friendly dog loves to sit there too and might come to greet you. Their dog is super cute and playful, adding a warm and homey touch to the stay! One of the most delightful surprises was that the hotel provides traditional Chinese costumes for free! We had so much fun dressing up and taking beautiful photos. It made us feel like royalty from an ancient Chinese dynasty—truly a unique and unforgettable experience. Despite the language barrier, the staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs. They went above and beyond to assist us, offering suggestions, pinpointing locations, and ensuring we had everything we needed. A big thumbs up to the staff member whose picture I shared (unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name). The hotel owner should truly give her credit for her exceptional service—it made our stay even more memorable! This hotel is located near the stunning Napahai Lake, not Dukezong Ancient City. If you’re planning to stay close to Dukezong, this might not be the best choice. But trust me, you don’t need to stay near Dukezong—this hotel is so good, it’s worth being a little further away. The peaceful surroundings, incredible service, and top-notch amenities make it more than worth it! Another fantastic perk is the nearby e-bike rental. We rented bikes and had an amazing time exploring the beautiful Napahai area and enjoying the serene countryside. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for travelers from Malaysia. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Trust me, you won’t regret staying here—it’s a memory you’ll cherish forever! Sorry I don’t take too much photo, a lot of videos only. So cannot share here.

The Old Town of Lijiang
We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!
Lijiang Yinjian Inn

The Old Town of Lijiang
This inn is our favorite one in this Yunnan trip. It greatly exceeded our expectations. The owner is very nice. Although the inn is in the ancient city, it is only a two-minute walk from the parking lot. The owner will come out to help us move our luggage and help us move out of the ancient city when we leave the store. The room is clean and tidy, very warm, and there is a basket of spare bags, which almost includes all the small things we can't think of, full of details. The room also includes a large balcony, which is really comfortable. On the day of arrival, I sat on the chairs on the balcony with my teammates and watched the people coming and going in the ancient city downstairs. It was a different feeling. It was like living here for a longer time and didn't want to leave. When we arrived, the owner prepared afternoon tea, breakfast rice noodles were very delicious, and there was white fungus soup before bed in the evening. Because my teammates and I went to the bar and came back very late at night, the owner was very considerate to use a thermos bucket to pack white fungus soup, so we had a warm bowl before bed. Overall, this is really a great inn, absolutely recommended, we plan to stay here longer next time and enjoy it.

Sunac Resort Xishuangbanna
Great location with lots of food options in the neighborhood a short drive away or a bike ride away. The resort area comprises of Pullman, crowne plaza and Wanda. So if u prefer to eat in one of these hotels that’s an option but much more pocket friendly options in the area too outside of this hotel area but close by. Rooms are comfortable. An outdoor and indoor pool are available but the indoor one water is too cold and needs to be regulated. The steam and sauna are not always on so if u are the first one to use like in my case then u have to wait till it heats up and gets fully operational. Steam worked great but sauna not so good. Jacuzzi was busted and non-operational. Don’t forget to get ur swimming caps as even though outdoor pool one is not required but if it rains u must go to the indoor one as per hotel rules and for indoor u need a cap and to buy one at site is very expensive. The check in desk person Jacky Chen was very nice and helpful. Smooth check in process. Eva he at the breakfast buffet was also very kind and friendly and all the staff generally were good. However the staff at the front entrance gate need to be trained better to talk to customers like they normally should to customers but I felt they were very rude although it was not there intention to be rude. They just need better training. Parking is not allowed around the entrance circle but many people are allowed to park and is not consistent. If they allow one car to park then they should allow all. Local cars should not get preference. Even the help staff at the breakfast should be trained a little more to serve customers as it was quite chaotic. Overall a pleasant stay but some improvements required as highlighted above.

Black Dragon Pond
This is simply the best place to stay, to explore Lijiang Old Town and surrounding areas. * Overall - beautiful boutique hotel based on traditional Naxi architecture. Looks like a traditional inn, but is actually new and modern. * Rooms - spotlessly clean, with all modern facilities. Light contemporary decor. * Benefits - excellent breakfast, complimentary welcome drink, complimentary welcome fruit platter, complimentary afternoon tea & desserts, complimentary nightcap plum wine and light dessert. Daily complimentary laundry. Unlimited soft drinks in room fridge. * Service - this is where the Dublin really stands out. The best service we've experienced in China, and most likely the best ever. The staff all work as a well trained team to make you feel at home from the moment you check in. A special shout out to Xiao Du! * Location - Another great standout. Literally steps from the front door (next to the small restaurant on the right) there are a set of steps down to the canal. From there, just follow the canal to the Water Wheel and Lijiang Old Town north gate. Along the way is a large lively night market. You can also step down to the main road just outside and walk down a lively street full of food options. Pro Tip : Ask hotel staff how to get to the restaurant that is in the last picture below. Delicious Naxi food! Overall : Best value, best location and best service in Lijiang!

This homestay is the best! Very recommended 👌🏻 the host is very accommodating. The location is just perfect. It’s near to everything. There’s bed warmer and floor heater and the toilet comes with automatic bidet. There’s washing machine and even extra jackets that can be borrowed from the hotel as we undermine the cold in Shangrila the puffer jacket we borrowed really help us a lot with the cold. There’s pickup and dropoff service for free to and fro the Railway Station. The room that we book is really nice and the view is also nice. Please stay here if you come to Shangrila. You won’t regret it.

Everything about this place is 5 star 。 Managed by a group of energetic and friendly young people. love the vintage chinese styled reception area , rooms, and surronding Special thanks to 1)小迪 who came running to pick us up outside the city gate. Check-in was smooth. She helped arrange taxi pick up to train station. 2) 夏天 (summer) showed us to where to take tribal costume photo , made chinese tea for us . Took us to take a taxi to train station 3) 小安, who made us feel at home and provided us with relevant information about where to go 4) 小杨who helped with our baggage We had a hectic day from 玉龙雪山,was dropped off by 车师傅 at 丽江古城入口 。幸好联络上 小迪, she came over to pick us to hotel. While 小迪 doing the rooms check-in, Sunny made us welcome drinks, 普洱茶 + 鲜花饼. Tea is fragrant and heartwarming. ❤️ . 国泰民宿让我们有个在 丽江美好温馨 的住宿体验
