Check in was very easy! Staff assisted with the check-in kiosk. Daily housekeeping is very consistent. Very satisfied with the view of Taipei from our room! Location is great as WanHua station is just next door with lots of food options within walking distance. Very value for money and will love to come back again! Staff was very proactive in answering my emails as I left a something behind in the room after checkout. Thank you very much! :)

Room is a tad small for single traveller. If you have a large lugguage. Toilet is good size almost half of the room size . Location wise is perfect just beside karaoke and near to train station exit 4 and 5. Food is easily located nearby . Con - wifi cannot make it . If you need to work , this hotel cannot as the wifi will drive you crazy . I think the servers cannot cope with large number of paxs staying there using at the same time . Front counter staff - Manuel is friendly and helpful . Appreciate his assistance when I needed a box and tape. Fruitful advise given. No amenities is provided but 7-11 is just by the corner and pastry shop and all. Post office is super near if you need to buy boxes.

It's conveniently located in the Ximen area, but it's a bit far from Ximen Station. The bus stop is right next door, so it might be easier to get around by bus using Google Maps. The hotel itself is new and perfect. The room size is also sufficient. However, once I turned on the TV, there was a strange phenomenon where it wouldn't turn off even when I pressed the button, so when I went to bed, I had to see a pitch black screen and wait for it to turn off automatically depending on the time.

Pros: The room is brand new and beautifully designed. There is a chaise lounge, a desk and chair, a small chair, and a wooden floor area. A family of four can sit and rest before taking a bath. There is also a balcony, capsule coffee, and the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. The overall design is great, the space is large, the floor is clean, the TV channels are very popular with the kids, and the overall hardware is very popular Although the area is a little remote, it is about 15 minutes' drive from the city center, and there is a convenience store within walking distance, which is quite convenient. The parking lot is very good and parking is convenient Disadvantages: The restaurant is beautiful, but the number of seats is insufficient. Even with the split dining, it still feels crowded. The food is not replenished quickly enough. The waiters have a gloomy look on their faces and are not enthusiastic about serving. There are hairs in the cold dishes. There is a game area and free happy hour on the second floor. The online introduction said there were many cocktails, drinks, cookies... In fact, there were only two cans of candy, a small pot of juice, and a small pot of beer. It was marked as not unlimited drinking, which means that it was gone after drinking. However, there are 170 rooms, so this happy hour is quite insincere. There are welcome tea bags and biscuits in the lobby, just two plates, and they are gone after taking them. The service attitude of the counter staff is better than that of the restaurant, but they are not enthusiastic and have no smiles. It can be improved. In addition, the parking entrance and exit are two-way, and the poles on both sides are too long, which is easy to scratch the car body. It is recommended to make it shorter.

The room is big and spacious. We book room with a King bed. Toilet is good. Location convenient. Just 6 minutes away from chiayi TSR. 16 minutes away from chiayi HSR. Not so good is near hospital at night have ambulance sound.

It was first bad hotel experience booking thru trip.com. Traveled with 2 kids under 13. We drove to Kaoshiung from Taipei. Arrived late night. There's no parking lot provided but have to park somewhere 3 walk at a opposite the hotel. Paid TWD100 per entry on the following day before leaving. The hotel looks good at the public areas, except our room. We were given a room at 6th floor. It looks like under construction and no other guests were staying on that floor. If we were not 4 together, I dare not stay alone. What was disappointed was the room is very very old. Everything old style. The carpet is dirty. We have to wear the paper slippers (the worst hotel slipperstgat I had ever seen) to walk on the carpet. We tried to push a bed to the side to the wall, but the floor under the bed is very dirty, even found a plastic slipper (not a pair). We guessed it was left by the previous guest and the room was not totally cleaned. We quickly put the bed back. The shower pipe also not very well working and weak power water. Quite disappointed. 2 Good points: 1. The hotel is near to the night market: It's just 3~5 mins walk from hotel. 2. The breakfast was quite good.

Overall hotel was good. Well-equipped with facilities, location is good and near MRT station. Room was clean and suitable for family due to the large room. Will visit again for next visit.

Highly recommended hotel . It’s near to Taipei station and underground street mall . The hotel service is exceptional ! All their staffs are very polite , their service is much better than Intercontinental and Sheraton . I am not say those two hotels are not good , but just this hotel is very exceptional ! We had a pleasant and good rest in this hotel ! Love it !

Looks exactly like advertised. Quite conveniently located, short walking distance to Xinbeitou MRT station and opposite Beitou garden which has the beautiful wooden structured library, and you can stroll all the way to the Thermal Valley. Room was quite large, pretty well maintained, but showing it's age and maybe needing some TLC. Breakfast was the high point of the stay, as we totally enjoyed the variety that was on offer. Service was pretty good as well, and staff was warm and friendly. The only issue we had was that the hot water from the sink and shower took quite some time to warm up, and the water pressure was almost non existent, so it took quite some time to shower or use the sink. Overall, recommended for its location, breakfast and the fact that there is a hot spring tub in each room.

The hotel was not near any train station ao we have to take a taxi from Taichung HSR to the hotel. Check in was smooth and the room was one of the best hotel we have stayed in Taiwan. Very spacious and clean. Comes with bathtub and a TV while you are soaking. We got a very nice room that we are able to see countdown fireworks. Hotel location is good as it is about 5 mins walking dostance to Fengjia Night Market. Walkable to convinence stores and eateries. Highly recommend to stay here.

Overall services were good, from concierge, to check in and check out. The room that was allocated to us was spacious however they could have done better to do regular maintenance on their TV channels and systems. Some channels showed black screen with audio whereas some with visuals but no audio. Called up for service and they got a technician over to check yet no outcome and they decided to brush me off by blaming it on system updates backend. Tried over the next few days and still didn't work, and gave up eventually. Not returning to this hotel for my next trip to Taichung.

Clean and strategic location. The room for economy and standard is too small and compact for 2 to stay with the sink bowl outside the bathroom which is not a good layout.

Great hotel for families. The staff were great and breakfast was very comprehensive. Large rooms and there was a large play area on one of the floors which was beside the gym and laundromat. The service staff were so nice to help us with the laundry machines.

Location is great! Theres a taxi stop/line right in front of the hotel. There’s so many things to do and explore around the hotel, the kids love it. We enjoy the breakfast buffet too! We would like to stay there again next time!

The location is excellent, close to Yizhong Street and the Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University, where you can eat, drink, have fun, and have convenient transportation. The bathroom is large and has a bathtub. Taking a bath is very helpful for relaxing.

Room was slightly smaller, and the windows needed some cleaning. The hotel had a lot of room guests and patience for the lifts would be needed during peak periods. The hotel breakfast was excellent with a good spread of food, but due to the number of guests, one would have to choose a breakfast timing (7 am, 8 am or 9 am) to prevent overcrowding. Gree underground parking was available.

From the hotel, it is very convenient to go to Feng Chia Night Market, and there are a lot of establishments as well on the main road near the hotel. The hotel is so-so, nothing really special that would want to me book there again, as the price is also not very cheap.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is in the downtown area and next to the Tangweigou Hot Spring Park. There is a whole row of specialty shops opposite, which makes it very convenient to buy souvenirs. The room is not very big but the layout is pretty good. The bathroom in the room has a separate hot spring pool. Soaking in the hot spring is very healing. The most important thing is that the price is not expensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yamagata Kaku Hotel & Spa, where the accommodations and cuisine were exceptional. We booked a Japanese Superior Room for one adult, one teenage and a child. The room is way too small. There isn’t a place to put our luggages. The luggage rack adjust beside the door is not usable because if you put even a cabin luggage on the rack, you won’t be able to open the door. There is also no extra room to move around in the hotel room. Other than the room size, all other things are fine. Service is good and breakfast is very good too! The location is very convenient as it is just a 10-15 mins walk from the train station. There are convenient stall just a few mins away and there are many options for restaurant and street food nearby.

Before we arrived, I emailed the hotel to require assistance from hotel to check for private charter car service for YiLan and the staff was very responsive and helpful. Upon arrival, front desk staff was a little cold (unlike what people mentioned in the reviews). We were swiftly checked in and could go up to the room. Hotel lobby is very cosy and welcoming, but the rooms are starting to look a little old with moulding and wear and tear. Very large, spacious and clean room. If I'm not wrong, the water to fill up the tub is not hot spring water but just normal tap/shower water. If you're looking for a hotel with with hot spring water, do take note. Location of the hotel is great though. We were very near Jiaoxi bus transfer station and managed to walk to our hotel within 5 mins. There are restaurants and fast food, bar, and a shopping area nearby. Jiaoxi hot spring night market (only open on Sundays) is 4mins drive away and Yilan train station was 10mins on foot. Breakfast service was great! Staff were quick to clear and set up tables without making us feel like we were being chased out. They were also very sweet. On our 3rd morning, we needed to leave to rush for our bus to Taoyuan, we were holding our luggages and they directed us to store our luggages with the front desk first. They saw that we were in a rush and told us that we could let them know if we're would like to take along some snacks or drink to accompany us on our trip. They even bid us good bye. Check out process was smooth with an aloof staff. Felt like he couldn't be bothered.

Stayed 2 nights in this property over Typhoon Kong-Rey. Love the in-room hot spring, the one-time usage of minibar & the availability of water dispenser in every level. Location of hotel is also very strategic. Thankful to the team for taking care of us during Typhoon Kong-Rey by offering umbrella, checking where we are going, advising us to be careful of the weather & also offering car rides to keep us safe.

Booked this hotel thinking it’s a hot spring hotel and read the reviews saying the breakfast is very good, hence was willing to pay more for this booking. But after 2 nights stay there, sadly to say that the tub is just normal water and not hot spring, and the breakfast was nothing wow. However i would highlight that the vegetarian options are not bad, can let the staff know and there’s a separate menu (3 dishes; soup, radish cake, and stir fried noodles). Do note that if you’re staying over the weekends, you’ll need to choose a slot (2 slots iirc) for breakfast which kind of disrupted our plans. Overall the stay was pleasant.

Hotel very new, the “residence” has bigger rooms and is quieter. I don’t think the inconvenience is that big a problem, the peace and quiet is better The onsen tub is large and the room is very spacious and new All great

The location is good and convenient. It's only a few minutes' walk to Tangweigou Park. There are a lot of food nearby, and you can buy custard rolls right next to it. The bed is very big and easy to sleep in. The combined bed is against the wall, so children are not afraid of falling. The bathtub is very large and very comfortable to run around.

Best hotel I've went to so far in Yilan! Loved the spacious room and bathroom - was surprised to see two televisions in the room haha. Everything felt luxurious and clean! What's most important is the super King bed - had a really good sleep :) Pretty convenient located nearby restaurants and shops!

There are too many mosquitoes in the spa pool, and the bottom magnet tiles cut their feet. Our whole family went to play in the water. There were 4 people who were cut their feet, and there was no locker. The dressing room was next to the door.
