The collection includes statuettes of Exu and Xangô, everyday objects, dolls, drums, furniture and masks used in festivities, initiation rituals, celebrations or funerals. Although other presentations of this collection have already been held, this is the first exhibition that seeks to establish a critical and purposeful reading of the museum's African art collection.
