Co-hosting with Lee Hysan Foundation, a Strategic Partner and Sponsor, this event will feature a screening of My Voice My Life and the sequel, My Voice My Life Revisited, as well as a discussion with the director and the main cast. It follows a group of underprivileged Hong Kong youths who embark on a voyage of self-discovery through taking part in a musical production. As these youths confront their personal challenges, be that low self-esteem or blindness, the documentary chronicles each of their unique journeys. MVML has garnered global recognition and has been featured in over 20 film festivals. It was selected by film critics societies from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China as “Top 10 Chinese Language Film of 2014”. It was awarded the 2015 NPT Human Spirit Award at the Nashville Film Festival.

We had a good time with family. The place is pretty well maintained and spacious. The terrain is hilly and can be steep for the older folks. The rides are all inclusive and no extra charges are required, eg cable car rides and express train. Food can be a tad expensive. Otherwise, it is a good place to spend the day.

I was a bit skeptical about taking the Peak Tram, however, I really enjoyed the ride. The scenery going up the hill is fascinating, and going on a Tuesday afternoon in June I did not find any queue or crowd. It was a sunny and clear day and the view from both the tram and the Sky Terrace was amazing. The fact that there are two shopping areas with restaurants makes the experience even more convenient, also to have a break from the outside heat. I think it is a must see for first timers in HK like me.

I came twice a week. I was very lucky.
