Dont miss the Okayama castle if you got a chance to turn out at Okayama by Shinkansen or other means.. this castle is in black which means it was built before the edo period.. so it is older but the castle is restored to become a relatively “new” castle. The exhibits in this castle are mostly in very new built halls and you save the need to remove your shoes to walk around like in other ancient castle… The kokoyuen is also a plus .. pay more to get access to the garden.. it a big garden that walks you through many Japanese plants. There is a unique feature of this garden which is the long suspended bridge connecting the castle and garden..stroll along to find the best of the two.. It is worth mentioning that there are restaurants on the garden side overlooking the castle and offers good udon noodles…try them before you head out to other areas…👍
