After seven years, the long-awaited classic band NELL will return to Taiwan for a performance. [NELL TAIWAN CONCERT 2024 'Our Eutopia'] will be held at Legacy Taipei on November 9. 
The Korean modern rock band NELL is composed of creative leader Kim Jong-wan, bassist Lee Jung-hoon, and guitarist Lee Jae-kyung. In 2023, guest drummer Liang Xisheng joined. As one of the ancestors of Korean independent bands, they ushered in their 25th anniversary this year and have well-known works such as "Four Times Around the Sun" and "Stay". Among them, the representative work "Time Walking on Memories" is that as long as the prelude sounds, fans can immediately sing along with the whole song. 
NELL was founded in 1999 and made its mark in the Korean music scene with their unique modern rock style. Even though the trend of independent music in Korea had not yet flourished, they quietly accumulated fame from small live clubs in Hongdae due to their creative strength and stable performances. Two years after their debut, they were favored by the national singer "Seo Taiji" who was popular all over Korea at the time and signed to his company. Subsequently, they became popular in Korea with songs such as "Stay" and "Thank you". 
NELL is famous for lyrical rock and psychedelic rock. They are good at creating songs with dreamy sound effects and complex guitar arrangements, and then mixing electronic elements with them. Synthesizers and electronic beats are used to add layers to the songs. Guitarist Lee Jae-kyung is even better at creating ethereal and psychedelic guitar sounds, which perfectly creates the emotional atmosphere in NELL's works. This is the key to their creation of unique music, creating the so-called unique "NELL-style rock". 
In addition to his vocal performance, lead singer Kim Jong Wan's unique lyrics have made many people his die-hard fans. His writing style is profound and emotional. Some of his songs are based on true emotions deep in his heart, while others include philosophical thinking. For example, "Growing Distant" writes about feelings that fade away with time and distance; the lyrics of "Four Times Around the Sun" use time as the axis to explore the cycle and changes of life; the words he uses are simple but profound, which can easily resonate with people. 
As one of the great pioneers of Korean rock music, NELL is well-known as the "idol of idols" in the Korean music scene. RM, Hwang Min-hyun, Kim Sunggyu and others have publicly expressed their admiration. Taeyeon, NewJeans, BLACKPINK member ROSÉ and countless other musicians have covered her famous song "Time walking on memories". In the albums of G-DRAGON, EPIK HIGH and others, you can also hear the songs produced by lead singer Kim Jong-wan for them, which shows NELL's status and far-reaching influence in the Korean music circle. 
NELL has performed concerts in venues with tens of thousands of people in Korea several times, but rarely performs special performances overseas. This concert specially went to Japan and Taiwan, where many fans are waiting. It is also the first time that NELL has held a special concert in Taiwan again after 2017. After seven years, NELL also promised to continue the previous high-standard performances and reproduce classic songs and latest works.
