The Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art has opened a new exhibition venue this year. It will launch a one-year exhibition plan starting from January 27. The artist Lai Chi-sheng has carefully created a new "Chuan Hall" venue to connect the art museum and the school. connect the spaces between them. This exhibition area is modeled on the historic building of an elementary school built a hundred years ago, providing viewers with a fun interactive experience of table tennis and awakening memories of past youth.   The Contemporary Museum is the first art museum in Taiwan that is co-constructed with a school. It is separated from the established junior high school by a white door. Lai Zhisheng's work "Chuan Tang" is located in an exhibition hall in the middle of the entrance of the museum. After opening the white door, it is extended to form a terrace, transforming into a new Chuan Tang that can be walked around. The artist placed a white stone table weighing about 150 kilograms on each side. While watching, the audience can pick up the table tennis balls and rackets provided on site and create a back-and-forth with the audience opposite on this merged table. A new feeling, re-experience campus time, and view historic buildings from another perspective.

Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art - It is a historic building with a red brick surface, wooden roof trusses, vertical strip windows, and a black tile Western-style pitched roof. During the Japanese period, Taipei City built a primary school building. After Taiwan was restored, it became the Taipei City Government Office. In 1994, the Taipei City Government moved to the Xinyi Planning District. The front building of the city government building was used as an art gallery, and the east and west wings were used as junior high school buildings.
The name of the museum was originally &quot;Taipei Second Art Museum&quot;, and was later separated from the &quot;North American Museum&quot;. It was officially renamed &quot;Taipei Museum of Contemporary Art&quot; in 2000 to display various contemporary art works.
