Jean Chatelus, who passed away in 2021 at the age of 82, was a Lyon-born historian and lecturer at the Sorbonne. Throughout his life, he amassed a collection unique, driven more by an impulse to accumulate than by a traditional collector’s approach. Comprising nearly 400 pieces—sculptures, installations, paintings, photographs, drawings, votive and vernacular objects—the collection explores themes of the body, death, and the fleeting nature of life.Presented almost in its entirety, the collection reflects Chatelus’s evolving tastes: from an early fascination with Surrealism and repurposed objects, to a later focus on body art. It also reveals his keen interest in non-Western ethnographic artifacts, folk traditions, and the works of contemporary art’s outsiders and enfant terribles, including Cindy Sherman, Mike Kelley, Christian Boltanski, Yayoi Kusama, Michel Journiac, Daniel Spoerri, Robert Filliou, Nam June Paik, Joana Vasconcelos, Andres Serrano, and Wim Delvoye.

Notre Dame is worth it. It is one of the most famous attractions in Paris and a must visit attraction. It was rainy today and the queue was long. Very crowded. Enter the interior of Notre Dame, deeply attracted by the exquisite religious works of the interior decoration, statues, murals, tapestries and so on. Taking a lot of photos and reading a lot of religious knowledge. Worth a visit.

Visiting the Palace of Versailles was an amazing experience, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The palace is about an hour away from the city by train. The gardens are super vast, so be prepared for a lot of walking (suggest to rent a bicycle, golf car or take the shuttle train🤔). There is no need to add the musical show to your ticket if it&rsquo;s scheduled during your visit&mdash;it was free when I went on april. Also, bring some food with you, as dining options inside can be limited and pricey.Keep in mind that once your ticket is scanned, you can only enter the palace once. Make sure to explore the entire palace before stepping out. I arrived 2&ndash;3 hours later than my booking time but was still able to enter without any issues. Be prepared for long queues, especially during peak hours.Overall, it was worth the visit despite the minor inconveniences!

The Centre Pompidou

The last stop before leaving Paris was the Pompidou Center. The building&#39;s appearance is very unique, like a large industrial factory. No wonder it is written on the Internet as an industrial modern style.
I bought tickets online and the tickets were issued fairly quickly. I waited for less than an hour.
Art exhibitions, although I don&#39;t have artistic cells, I followed my feelings, walked slowly, strolled slowly, and understood and appreciated from my own perspective.
