This immersive celebration will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Museum of International Folk Art in Santa Fe, NM. Dr. Mhlambi, a talented musician and cultural thinker, will present his body of work called "Zulu Song Cycle," a compilation of songs inspired by the spirits and cultural legacy of the KwaZulu-Natal region. Dr. Perrill, a respected professor of art histories, will share her approach to art historical and contemporary research in South Africa and KwaZulu-Natal. Her work, based on life-history methodologies and conversations with isiZulu-speaking artists, informs her curatorial practice and collaborative film project. The journey from Phoenix to Page passed three sections of geological landscape, with completely different vegetation. When I first left Phoenix, the road was full of this columnar cactus. With the increase of altitude, low shrub plants such as cactus disappeared, and the towering pine forest was taken, and finally the barren plateau with Danxia landform characteristics. Wonderful!
