New Yorker Executive Editor Michael Luo's book, Strangers in the Land: Exclusion, Belonging, and the Epic Story of the Chinese in America, couldn't come at a more important time. Michael Luo, the executive editor of the New Yorker and before that an award-winning journalist at the New York Times, has indeed written an epic story about the Chinese experience in America: it is a story filled with tragedy, injustice, violence, and racism that has persisted to our present moment. Luo's accounts of the Chinese immigration wave during the 19th century gold rush and beyond center on characters that create a sweeping and extraordinary history of Chinese settlement in America, and a story of what all immigrant groups have felt for centuries: exclusion, scapegoating, and often success in spite of all that. In conversation with National Book Award winner Charles Yu, author of the novel Interior Chinatown. Yu was also nominated for two Writers Guild awards for his work on Westworld, and has written for the New Yorker, the New York Times, Wired, and other publications. Limited parking onsite. The Capel Covered Bridge is one of the landmarks of Lucerne, Switzerland and one of the oldest wooden bridges in the world. It is a wooden covered bridge, 204 meters long and about 2 meters wide. The bridge is in a folded line with a turning point in the middle, which connects the Lucerne Octagon Water Tower. The interior of the bridge is unique, with 110 triangular painted wooden boards hanging from the top depicting the history, myths and saints of Lucerne. These painted boards are works from the 17th and 18th centuries and have high artistic value.

Lake Lucerne is really nice. When the weather is good, you can see the snow-capped mountains. Unfortunately, we stayed there for three days, and the weather was good only when we arrived in the evening of the first day, so we didn&#39;t take advantage of it.

The buildings by the lake, the Ferris wheel, and the Flower Bridge Water Tower are simply too beautiful to take in. The boat ride to Weggis is even more beautiful.

Lucerne, one of the top 5 tourist cities in Switzerland, has sparkling waters on one side and lush mountains and rolling peaks on the other.
The city area north of Lake Lucerne and the Reuss River is called the Old Town of Lucerne, where you must slow down and stroll and take photos leisurely.
Stroll along the shore of Lake Lucerne, take photos on the Capel Bridge, climb the Musegg Wall to reminisce about the past, visit the St. Leodegar Church, and check in at the Lion Monument... everything is done on foot.

Great museum and most importantly very interactive. You can learn, admire, experience and watch so many things. If you want to learn everything and really like watching and reading a little, 3 hours is far from enough. We had about 4.5 hours and that wasn&#39;t enough.
