Workshop: Movement for Singers part of the Bangkok Theatre Festival 2024 Location: Bangkok Art and Culture Centre Join this dynamic workshop designed to help singers bring performances to life through movement! Perfect for opera and musical theatre singers, this session dives into fun, hands-on techniques to unlock your body’s full potential, boosting your stage presence and emotional expression. Conducted by Singapore theatre and opera director Tan Shou Chen, you will explore acting exercises, improvisation, and movement vocabulary to make your storytelling more dynamic and connected. Dress in comfy clothes (like sportswear), and prepare a short song from opera or musical theatre.
Duration 120 minutes.
Workshop will be conducted in English. Suitable for singers of all levels. About Tan Shou Chen www.shouchen.net Tan Shou Chen is a theatre director with over 20 years of experience in acting and directing. He has been commissedion by Esplanade Theatres by the Bay, Singapore International Festival of the Arts (SIFA), Theatreworks, Singapore Management University Arts Festival, National University of Singapore Arts Festival, and the opening of the Singapore National Gallery. A recipient of the Singapore National Arts Council Creation Grant, his cross-city collaboration with Bangkok artist Jaturachai Srichanwanpen, Open Waters, has also been presented at the Bangkok Theatre Festival. Shou Chen's stagings are known to be dynamic and visceral. His work includes Purcell's Dido and Aeneas (The Opera People, 2023), Handel's Alcina (The Opera People, 2022) and a site specific adaption of Handel's Orestes (SIFA , 2019). His latest staging of Mozart's Don Giovanni (The Opera People) premiered earlier this month.

A lot of fun and a great view of the city for very cheap cost. Get on the top deck and wear a big hat and sunscreen for a great view of the city and many smaller boats (some which are really traditional and some which have big billboards stuck on top!)  you can go past Wat Arun, many temples and attractions and much more. 10/10

If you feel bored to go to the city, you have extra time to go, personally feel that it is still more interesting, but it is a bit expensive to take photos with animals, or I am not willing to take photos. The theater of the Western Cowboy is very beautiful. The first time I saw the dolphin show, I was lucky to be drawn to the stage with my friends to interact with dolphins. The experience is directly full! ❤️

Siam SeaWorld: Consumerist illusion of artificial deep blue This aquarium hidden underground in a shopping mall turns the ocean into a tradable landscape. Down the escalator through the luxury counter, you will fall into a deep blue universe forged with acrylic and LED lights. The 270-degree glass tunnel is a carefully designed cranial climax. Thai students collectively exclaim as hammerhead sharks swim overhead, while Chinese tourists are busy catching magical images of fish with beauty cameras framed by Gucci billboards. The most absurd belong to the undersea Buddha exhibition area koi and electronic lotus in the imitation of Mahatai Temple to create a Chinese dance, faith and entertainment are stirred into ornamental cocktails. The diver feeding show exposes all secrets. When staff dressed as Santa Claus danced with sharks, and when salmon crashed into a glass curtain wall for frozen shrimp, the mystery of the ocean was completely a footnote to the commercial script. The souvenir shop that must pass by the exit is even more cunning: the 699 baht glowing jellyfish lamp is clearly priced for the shocking memory just now. It is recommended to choose the night market to avoid the crowds. When the shadow of the manta rays flits over the empty glass curtain wall alone, and when the auto-decompressor stops playing, you may hear the low hum of the circular filter system the real heartbeat that sustains this artificial ocean breathing. It&#39;s not worth the pilgrimage for marine lovers, but as an urbane sensual anesthetic, it&#39;s really efficient.

It&#39;s entirely my fault for underestimating the size of this place and thinking I could walk around this entire place in 2 hours on foot. Very recommended for people to take the buggy when you&#39;re here to fully explore the city. Also, clear your schedule for this place. You&#39;re gonna need one full day to explore this place in whole. Otherwise an extremely recommended place to visit in Thailand.
