Japanese Papermaking Workshop for Beginnerswith Mami TakahashiMarch 30, 202411:00am - 1:00pmParticipants will make traditional Japanese paper, called Washi, with human body-themed watermarks at this paper-making workshop. Washi is typically made from Japanese Mulberry or Mitsumata wood bark. These barks are used daily in Japan, and they include architectural elements like Shoji screens and folding fans. All levels are welcome to enjoy this workshop! About Mami Takahashi: Mami Takahashi is a Japanese multidisciplinary artist and a scholar working in multiple cities including Chicago and Tokyo. She earned her MFA in Contemporary Studio Practice from Portland State University in 2013 and a BFA in Japanese Painting from Joshibi University of Art and Design in Japan. With ongoing artistic research, practice, and teaching, Takahashi explores different approaches to actualize Japanese aesthetics to enhance cultural perspectives in many U.S. communities. Takahashi also aims to connect Japan and communities in Chicago by teaching traditional and modern art-making techniques.

This surgical museum doesn&#39;t try to be the Field Museum, but it does lack a quality that makes a museum more engaging, and that quality is the level of interactivity. Most museums are designed to be read and read. The information that visitors read is fascinating, but it would be more impressive if there were more ways to engage visitors. Unless you work in the medical field, I wouldn&#39;t put this on your list of attractions; however, if you are a Chicagoan looking for something new to learn about, this museum is worth checking out.

Chicago&#39;s most worthwhile attractions&mdash;do your homework and you can spend a lot of time exploring. This close encounter with art and history is incredibly satisfying and enriching.

It&#39;s worth visiting, but the price is a bit high, so it doesn&#39;t feel like great value for money. There&#39;s a slanted window inside that offers a downward view of the city, but that costs extra. Overall, it doesn&#39;t feel like good value for money.

The John Hancock Center is a place you can visit by appointment. Group tours in Chicago generally do not include activities in this place, but you can stop by here when you are traveling on your own to get to know some of the characteristics of American architecture and culture.

So much fun walking around here! Perfect for dating spots as well. I came with my bf&amp; we had so many things to talk about all the times. Highly recommend&amp; my bf got free ticket for Illinois residents!

Grant Park

Natural scenery

Grant Park is also a good place to visit for free. The most common people you see are locals doing outdoor sports. Running is very popular and can be seen at different times of the day. There are also some people walking their dogs.
