During the mesmerizing ""Movement, Memory, Migration"" workshop, participants will have the opportunity to explore a rich tapestry of cultural knowledge. Drawing inspiration from Afro-Modern dance techniques, praise dance traditions across the Diaspora, and somatic practices, this transformative class delves into the power of our archival memories. Through a seamless integration of breathing techniques and vibrant ring shout choreography, new memories will be forged.

Embodying Alvin Ailey's belief that dance should be accessible to all, this inclusive workshop warmly welcomes individuals of all ages and abilities. The workshop will take place at the DeLUXE Theater, a historic venue located at 3303 Lyons Avenue in Houston, Texas. 

Stacey Allen, the talented facilitator behind this artistic endeavor, is not only a performance artist and curator but also a passionate advocate for arts education. Balancing her artistic practice with the responsibilities of motherhood, Allen has successfully integrated the art of storytelling through movement and material culture. As the Founder and Creative Director of Nia's Daughters Movement Collective and the Director of Artistic Programming at the Harris County Cultural Arts Council, Allen's contributions to the arts community are truly commendable.
