The Irish Writers Centre is delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for a special Spoken Word showcase taking place on Saturday 5th April 2025.  Ireland Professor of Poetry and Pulitzer Prize winner, Paul Muldoon will introduce us to some of the most exciting and stirring spoken word artists in Ireland today.    Theline-up includes: Former all-Ireland Poetry Slam Champion and one of Dublin's newest voices,Anne D  Multi-award-winning bilingual spoken word poet and current All-Ireland Poetry Slam Champion, Cormac Mac Gearailt Bilingual writer, broadcaster and founder of REIC spoken word event which is celebrating 10 years in 2025, Ciara NÍ É Nigerian-born multidisciplinary artist and an electrifying force in Ireland’s creative landscape, Samuel Yakura And finally, our host, Paul Muldoon, who will perform alongside singer-songwriter, Fiach Moriarty Over the course of 90 minutes, our artists will demonstrate how poetry collides with rap, pulls in the percussion of an orchestra and grabs the attention of the ‘every man’ on the street.    Please join us for drinks. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets cost €30 (€27 members) via Eventbrite.  Access our Building  The Irish Writers Centre is currently housed in 19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1. This is a Georgian building which unfortunately does not have a lift. There are 5 steps into the entrance level. This event will take place in the Kiely Room which is on the first floor and requires climbing 30 steps in total. Please do inform us of any accessibility requirements you might have before the night so we can make any necessary arrangements. The restaurant and cafes in the factory offer a wide selection of options for visitors to taste the cuisine paired with Guinness beer. Although it is mainly beer-related exhibitions, there are family-friendly activities and exhibitions that make it fun for visitors of all ages. Overall, the visit experience at Guinness Black Brewery is generally considered worthwhile, especially for beer lovers and tourists interested in Irish culture. Tickets are a bit small and expensive at 32 euros per person

Dublin Castle has a long royal history and the attractions are worth visiting. The ticket price is only 8 euros (6 euros for those over 60 years old). However, the ticket price on Ctrip for those over 60 years old is 160 yuan, which is 3 times the price on site. It is too expensive!!! It has affected my high trust and good impression of Ctrip!!!

St Patrick's Cathedral

St. Patrick&#39;s Cathedral is Ireland&#39;s largest Catholic church. St. Patrick&#39;s Cathedral is exquisite and grand, more than 300 years ago, the author of Gulliver&#39;s Travels, Jonathan Westft, was bishop of the church and his remains were buried under it. The church has a Chinese guide to get a detailed understanding of the church&#39;s details, its construction and restoration history, as well as the characters and stories associated with it. After visiting St Patrick&#39;s Cathedral, you can spend a short time in St Patrick&#39;s Park at the back of the church. This park is very small, with a small market, stalls selling art, handicrafts and cosmetics. It is recommended to book tickets in advance.

Be warned, to walk all the way through takes about an hour and there are no busses that stop in the park- they only drive through and stop either side, but the park itself is beautiful and easy to spend that much time wandering in, the deer are usually in the upper end of the park after the cricket field, there are a few food carts dotted around and also Dublin zoo located in the park
