FabLab Coventry and Underground Lights are collaborating to offer free woodwork and costume workshops for the upcoming Lights Up! event. Underground Lights, a former Belgrade Springboard Company, is dedicated to supporting adults facing social disadvantage, homelessness, and mental health issues in Coventry, Warwickshire, and the surrounding area.

The Backstage Workshops will take place at FabLab's 'Eco Furniture Factory' in Fargo Village. Led by experienced instructors, these workshops provide a great opportunity to learn new skills and contribute to the creation of set and costumes for the Lights Up! Project performance at the Belgrade Theatre in February 2024. FabLab prides itself on its inclusive and welcoming environment, where participants can drop in at their convenience.

To ensure a safe experience, participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Loose or dangly items should be avoided, as they may get caught in the machines, and closed-toe shoes are recommended. Long hair should be tied back for added safety.

The woodwork workshop will be held every Monday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, with the exception of the half-term break on Monday, October 23rd. FabLab's Eco Furniture Factory is located at Unit 4, Fargo Village, Coventry, CV1 5ED. Limited drop-in spaces may be available for those who haven't booked in advance.
