The Lioness Instincts is hosting an empowering women-only event called Women Self Defense Class Your Voice, Your Defense Situational Mastery. This event aims to empower women by teaching them essential self-defense skills to protect themselves in both the physical and digital world. The event will take place at Mattix Academy in Davie on March 2, 2024. The experienced instructors will guide participants through practical exercises, teaching effective strategies to enhance personal safety. Whether a beginner or with some experience, this in-person event is open to all. The class will focus on vocal and situational awareness, exploring various angles and techniques such as falling properly, balancing, vocalizing needs, and knowing what to do when pushed or pulled. Attendees can purchase a single admission ticket for $35 or a package deal of 2 admission tickets for $60. The event will include check-in, warmups, technique and drilling sessions, Q&A, and optional additional practice time. Comfortable workout clothes are recommended, and shoes are not allowed on the mat. Water and poweraid will be available for purchase.
