Join us this month for the September Garden Chat, a must-attend event for native plant garden enthusiasts in the Greater Baltimore area. This in-person gathering offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for native plants. In addition to engaging discussions about our gardening successes and challenges, attendees will have the chance to explore the breathtaking gardens at a beautiful Bel Air home. The 1/5-acre suburban lot has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. Previously adorned with non-native plants and excessive mulch, the focus shifted towards incorporating native species and using eco-friendly mulch. While some non-native plants remain, there are no invasive species, and the landscape is now thriving with a variety of natives that continue to spread. The garden also features fascinating experiments with native plants in containers. Whether you're a novice gardener or an experienced pro, we welcome you to join us on this journey of discovery and learning about native plants and their ecosystems. To attend this free event and become an official member of Wild Ones, please visit JoinWildOnesBaltimore.org. The exact location will be provided to registered participants one week prior to the event. Don't miss out on this exceptional opportunity to connect with fellow nature enthusiasts and expand your knowledge of native plants.
