Watercolour Workshop | Painting Birds: Wings & Feathers
In this playful and expressive workshop, you’ll learn how to paint a beautiful, characterful bird using layered watercolours. Working from reference, you’ll explore how to capture gesture, texture, and personality through colour and brushwork.
Inspired by the elegant studies and illustrations of John James Audubon, we’ll focus on creating a single striking bird composition - perfect for both beginners and those looking to loosen up their painting style.
Eva will guide you step-by-step through essential watercolour techniques including brush control for feathers, building up transparent layers, and simplifying shapes to bring your bird to life.
All materials are provided; just bring your creative spirit!

You’re more than welcome. This class is designed to be fun, friendly, and beginner-focused. You'll leave with a unique finished artwork and fresh confidence in your creative abilities.

I had an amazing experience at Chessington World of Adventures! The rides were thrilling, especially the Mandrill Mayhem roller coaster, which was definitely my favourite! The Gruffalo River Ride was perfect for the whole family. We explored the zoo and aquarium, where we got to see some incredible animals up close, and the Sea Life Center had an underwater tunnel that was really cool. The staff were also friendly and very helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with fun and laughter
