A sinister con man, Roat, and his two ex-convicts, Mike and Carlino, are determined to get their hands on a mysterious doll hidden in the couple's Greenwich Village apartment. Unbeknownst to Sam, the doll contains a significant amount of heroin, making it a valuable commodity.

When the woman who convinced Sam to transport the doll is murdered, the situation becomes even more urgent. Roat and his accomplices trick Susy into believing that the police have implicated Sam in the murder, using the doll as evidence. Susy, determined to protect her husband, refuses to disclose its location. With the help of a resourceful young neighbor, Susy begins to unravel the truth and realizes she is caught in a dangerous game.

Prepare to be on the edge of your seat as Susy and Roat engage in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Susy, relying on her wits and resourcefulness, turns off all the lights, plunging herself and Roat into darkness.
