The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore presents an exciting opportunity for K-12 students to embark on a fascinating virtual tour of the museum's extensive collection. Led by knowledgeable staff educators, these virtual tours offer an immersive and in-depth exploration of artworks, including those not currently on display in the galleries.

Designed to encourage meaningful discussions about art, these tours are discussion-based and feature interactive elements and activities. Lasting 60 minutes, they are available on Thursdays between 10am and 2pm. To ensure the best possible experience, classes of up to 25 students are accommodated, with each student encouraged to have a personal device to join in.

The virtual tours are centered around the core belief that "Art is Conversation," which is a crucial aspect of the museum's Visitor Promise. By engaging with ancient cultures or exploring stories depicted in art, students are invited to draw connections between historical objects and their own lives today.
