The VAA is hosting an in-person Networking Opportunity in Utrecht, Netherlands for artists this April. The event is open to both members and non-members of the Visual Artists Association and offers a chance to connect with fellow artists in an informal setting. Taking place at the Utrecht Library (Bibliotheek) Neude, 11, 3512AE on April 21st, this hour-long meet up aims to build a community among local artists. Admission is free, but limited to 30 artists. Once tickets are sold out, interested individuals can contact hello@visual-artists.org to be added to a waitlist. For Netherland-based artists unable to attend, the VAA welcomes them to reach out, allowing another artist to take their place. The Oudegracht runs through the city center of the ancient Dutch city of Utrecht, starting in the southeast of the city. Here, the original main riverbed of the Rhine and a new main canal that reconnects Utrecht to the Rhine separate, and the old canal merges with the original moat of the fortified town, from where it enters the center of town.

Dom Tower

The Domkerk, the Netherlands, has a 112-meter-high tower, the Gothic church that was once the largest in the Netherlands, but the nave of the church collapsed in a storm in 1674 and has not been rebuilt, separating the tower from the eastern end. The tower is now a symbol of the city.
