The Umpire Academy - Central Region (Fall 2023) is a highly anticipated event that will take place at the Little League Central Region Complex in Whitestown, IN. It will run from September 28th to October 1st, providing umpires with an immersive learning experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply the concepts covered in the 5-Week Virtual Umpire’s Preparation Course through hands-on learning in drills, simulations, and live/controlled games. Video review will be utilized to provide valuable feedback on each attendee's progress throughout the academy.

The Umpire Academy offers various accommodations, including training materials and resources, daily lunch, and a Central Region Umpire Academy shirt. However, it's important to note that attendees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meals for breakfast and dinner. To ensure active participation, all attending umpires should bring their complete uniforms and equipment daily.

The Umpire Academy aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of umpires, and it is recommended that attendees complete the Virtual Preparation Course before participating in the academy. While attending the Virtual Preparation Course is not mandatory, it is designed to be a prerequisite for the in-person academy. The academy will be a valuable opportunity to reinforce and apply the concepts learned in the virtual course.
