Liverpool Mountain is Swiss-artist Ugo Rondinone’s first public artwork in the UK and the first of its kind in Europe. Inspired by naturally occurring Hoodoos (spires or pyramids of rock) and the art of meditative rock balancing, this 10-metre high sculpture stands within Mermaid Courtyard, outside Tate Liverpool on the Royal Albert Dock Liverpool. It consists of coloured rocks, stacked vertically which seem to defy gravity.
This outdoor sculpture marks the 10th anniversary of Liverpool European Capital of Culture, the 20th anniversary of Liverpool Biennial and the 30th anniversary of Tate Liverpool.
Commissioned by Liverpool Biennial and Tate Liverpool as part of the Liverpool 2018 events programme with support from Royal Albert Dock Liverpool.

Despite the very slow process of gaining admission and dealing with some rather grumpy front of house staff, once inside you&#39;re in artistic heaven and all the hassle of getting inside is forgotten.The highlights for me were a Miro and a Mondrian but the Ellen Gallagher &quot;DeLuxe&quot; image wall was outstanding good.

Anfield has always been a nice stadium. The Kop driving the atmosphere into the other stands. Now they two stands have been extended I have been worried that the atmosphere might be lost, particularly when seared in the upper tiers but having experienced several seat locations I have to say that it&#39;s as good as ever. Probably one of the good stadiums in Europe.The exterior has been vastly improved over the years too , We did the stadium tour and it was very good. Audio tour on every corner. 😃

I didn&#39;t know much about this museum at first, but my son insisted on going. I took a taxi in the rain and it was really rewarding. The special exhibition of the return of the gods inside is all cultural relics from the ancient Roman era. It is a group of statues from Zeus in ancient Greece. You can see the complete body of Venus and the heroic Athena. The background music is that people in ancient Rome held banquets and created a god for this purpose. There is a painting from Rubens&#39; studio that is very funny. You can take a closer look. The ancient Egyptian pavilion of the museum made my son praise it. Compared with the exhibition of the British Museum, the layout here is reasonable, the description is clear, and the display is clear! In the eyes of an outsider like me, it&#39;s not crowded with people in the British Museum anyway, and I can&#39;t see anything. I came to Liverpool and I knew that the research on ancient Egyptian civilization here is not inferior to the British Museum! Friends who are interested can come and take a good look. Because parking was not allowed at the entrance of the museum and it was raining heavily outside, we asked the staff about the location of the nearby roads.
