When Bob Bradshaw claimed that there could be tropical fish in the Tolka he'd no idea what lay ahead. Not Matilda, the sudden tornado that lashed down on his new roof. Nor the planning application for a grotesque block of apartments next door to his house in the North Strand. Under pressure from, Liz, his long-suffering wife, Bob decided to rebel. Using the most unconventional methods, including 'borrowing  artefacts and relics from university laboratories which he buried, Bob made the case that the entire North Strand area was of vital archaeological importance and needed to be preserved. Dublin Castle has some long royal history, and the attractions are very good and worth a visit. On-site tickets only sell 8 euros (60 years old and 6 euros). St Patrick's Cathedral

St. Patrick&#39;s Cathedral is Ireland&#39;s largest Catholic church. St. Patrick&#39;s Cathedral is exquisite and grand, more than 300 years ago, the author of Gulliver&#39;s Travels, Jonathan Westft, was bishop of the church and his remains were buried under it. The church has a Chinese guide to get a detailed understanding of the church&#39;s details, its construction and restoration history, as well as the characters and stories associated with it. After visiting St Patrick&#39;s Cathedral, you can spend a short time in St Patrick&#39;s Park at the back of the church. Be warned, to walk all the way through takes about an hour and there are no busses that stop in the park- they only drive through and stop either side, but the park itself is beautiful and easy to spend that much time wandering in, the deer are usually in the upper end of the park after the cricket field, there are a few food carts dotted around and also Dublin zoo located in the park
