Artist Moon Girle invites participants to a captivating and eco-friendly workshop known as Trash to Treasures in Dandenong. This innovative art session encourages attendees to transform discarded items into beautiful pieces of art, promoting sustainability and creativity in a lively setting. By reimagining materials typically destined for landfills, participants will delve into the realms of color, texture, and upcycling, turning what some see as waste into treasures. Utilizing fabric scraps, magazines, and small ornaments, ordinary disposable items will be infused with charm and transformed into remarkable creations. 

To participate, attendees are asked to bring a transparent plastic bottle or any clear plastic material. For those with accessibility requirements or in need of an Auslan interpreter, please reach out to arts@cgd.vic.gov.au at least 48 hours prior to the event on April 11, 2024, at The Walker Street Gallery & Arts Centre, located at the corner of Walker and Robinson Streets in Dandenong, VIC 3175. Admission is free for all who wish to explore the art of turning trash into treasures.

I heard that the Chinese employees at the Wilson factory said that Dandenong was good. In June 2012, friends drove, a group of three people, to Dandenong. There are few cars and no obstacles. As soon as I entered the forest area, I felt a lot of breathing. I felt refreshed and refreshed. The mountaintop cafe has a lot of people, but there are still empty seats. We brought barbecue ingredients and barbecued on the lawn floor slightly lower than the cafe. This lawn floor is 6 to 8 meters wide and about 10 meters long with memory. There are 6 barbecue tables, divided into two rows, three per row. Our barbecue attracted a few laughing kingfishers, a bird unique to Australia and New Guinea. There were also a few local Australians to taste our barbecue. After the barbecue, we cleaned it thoroughly. The environment here is very enjoyable and natural.
