The Trail Sustainability Institute is proud to present the Trail School: Intro to Rock Work, a remarkable two-day field course in collaboration with the US Forest Service in Cascade Locks. This course is specifically designed for those interested in rock work for trails in the developing Cascade Locks Trail system. Led by Nathaniel Brodie, the Trails Manager for the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, USFS, this course offers a unique opportunity to learn about rock structures, including ideal rock size and shapes, safe quarrying and transport techniques, and the construction of effective rock walls. Participants will also gain hands-on experience in installing rip rap features and other minor trail armoring. Safety is our utmost priority, and the course will focus on dry-laid walling techniques while providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. 

For those who wish to immerse themselves fully in this experience, camping is available at the Wyeth Campground. Please note that there are no water or bathroom amenities available at this time of year, so prepare accordingly for primitive car camping. Participants are advised to bring rain gear, layers of clothing, waterproof/water-resistant gloves, a hard hat or helmet, safety glasses, a personal first aid kit, water, and snacks. Lunch will be provided on both days. Before attending, please take a moment to sign our important waiver.

Although Yoho National Park is the smallest among these national parks, it has my favorite, Moraine Lake, which ranks number one. The road may be closed in early October in winter, so you can&#39;t go in.

This place is famous. If you are from the south, I suggest you go and see it. After all, it is a world of ice. Take a special snow car. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the glacier. It is sunny and windy on the glacier. Wear more clothes. The service area under the glacier is very good. There are food and drinks. You can see the distant view of the glacier while drinking coffee. It is very comfortable. There are also tourist commodities.
