Join the Tour: Art & This Place at the Queensland Art Gallery in South Brisbane. This unique opportunity allows visitors to engage with First Nations culture, history, and art. Led by First Nations storytellers and creatives, the tour highlights artworks from QAGOMA's Indigenous Australian Art Collection, providing insight into the complex stories of history, culture, and place that these pieces convey.

The tour explores the works of renowned artists such as D Harding, Iltja Ntjarra artists, artists of the Hermannsburg School, Audrey Tigan, Paddy Bedford, and more. Sandy Harvey, a proud Kalkadoon woman and the Public Programs Project Officer at QAGOMA, will facilitate the tour.

The tour begins outside the gallery, rain or shine, and then moves inside where the air conditioning keeps the temperature comfortable. It involves flat-terrain walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The route is also accessible for wheelchairs and prams.

Throughout the tour, the facilitator will spark conversations and answer questions, providing a space for respectful discussion. Please keep in mind that the facilitators can only speak from their own unique experiences and cannot represent all First Nations people.
