The City of Toronto and the Toronto Public Library celebrate 50 years of the Toronto Book Awards with an evening dedicated to Scarborough authors and their stories at the Scarborough Civic Centre branch. Acclaimed writers Catherine Hernandez (shortlisted in 2022 for Scarborough and again in 2020 for Crosshairs), Carrianne Leung (shortlisted in 2014 for The Wondrous Woo and again in 2018 for That Time I Loved You) and David Chariandy (winner in 2017 for Brother) join host Steven W Beattie to discuss their literary careers and the place that inspired them to write.
