For the 40th anniversary of the Restos du Cœur, the AFP Gallery is offering a photo exhibition on poverty in a series of portraits from the 1980s and today, which aims to highlight the precariousness in France. Founded in 1985 by Coluche, the association Les Restos du Cœur was born in a context of economic crisis and rising mass unemployment, but from its first winter campaign in Gennevilliers, the French people showed solidarity to help the most deprived. 40 years later, the association, although initially temporary, is unfortunately still just as useful.
